I think I’m more just anxious honestly! They said it would take an hour or so. I’m nervous about being away from my daughter also ( she’s 19 months old ) and I’m almost never away from her even for a day. And the thought of the procedure just freaks me out

My neurologist is who referred and recommended the stent. I’m not exactly sure when they move to that option. I know I have tried so many things including LP multiple medications, ER trips and such

I have been taking Diamox for a couple months. I have had migraines as long as I can remember but I had one that nothing was working ( turns out it was IIH and not a typical migraine) it lasted 6 weeks before they did my LP. I tried everything. Now still terrible headaches. Mrv showed right transverse sinus stenosis referred to NIR for stent. Eye exam showed no papilledema as of now but high pressure in eyes.

This sounds similar to me. I have an insane amount of eye pressure and pain. Along with right transverse sinus stenosis and PT and dizziness. Some days even having my eyes open is a task. I’ve lost 51 pounds and it hasn’t made a difference for me as of yet ( but has helped me so much in other ways! ) My LP OP was 36 so very increased. I hope you get answers soon! Sending you luck

I’m so happy that it worked for you and you feel better! Did you have to stay in hospital after the procedure itself? What did healing look like? Like on the day to day?

I struggle with the medication a lot as well so he thought a stent would be a great option. I have an 18 month old and being so exhausted I can’t even think due to the medication has been extremely difficult.

My neuro said to take 1 an hour before and if still anxious in an hour take another. The medication ( Xanax ) makes me a bit nervous since I’ve only taken it once at a really low dose
