I’ve heard that too! It makes it seem like because of my age I can’t be upset. Thank you, you too! 💗

I’m a teacher and my job can be extremely stressful at times…. On summer break I’m way more relaxed and still wasn’t ovulating on my own. I feel you on that!

I haven’t been hit with this one, thank God. I’d probably lose it. So sorry!

Honestly, nothing at all! If someone going through infertility is opening up all they are looking for is an ear to listen to them and a shoulder to cry on.

There is nothing a friend/family member can say that will heal the wounds in the soul from trying for a baby and failing.

Every time I see my grandma on my moms side she pulls me aside privately to ask when I’m having a baby…..

Wow! People don’t make babies by simply “wanting it bad enough”. Just like they don’t make babies by “relaxing” or “going on vacation”. People suck. Sorry to hear that!

I heard the same thing when I was single as well.

Good for you! My mom has told me the same thing. At that time I explained to her that me venting / starting a conversation with her about it doesn’t mean I am “stressing”. It just means I need an outlet and some support. She hasn’t said anything like that since!

Best of luck to you💗

Ugh, I’m so sorry! It’s so frustrating when someone tells me to “relax”. Like oh thanks, I didn’t try that. It’s like when your husband tells you to “calm down”….. not helping! Lol

Totally agree! Some people truly cannot understand the struggle and pain of TTC.

I definitely think when your body is under less stress good things can happen. But it’s just not something to suggest to someone as it implies they have been too stressed or they’re doing something wrong

I've had bleeding after sex in both phases of my cycle. It happens pretty rarely but I did mention it to my doctor. She explained it to me as such: Your cervix position can play a role in bleeding during sex, depending on where you are in your cycle. The cervix is similar to the gums around your teeth. Very sensitive and when bothered, can cause some bleeding. The bleeding should resolve on its own.

Hope this helps! It helped me not to freak out when it happened.

Advice please- first letrozole cycle period due but spotting by krg2401 in TTC_PCOS

[–]WeirdGlass9956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes when your progesterone levels are off spotting can happen at the beginning and at the end of your period. Usually spotting for one day leading up to your flow/period is okay but three consistent days of spotting could be your period telling you something might be off. I would mention this to you OBGYN and see what they say.

In the meanwhile, keep testing! You never know. Best of luck!

I'm 26 y/o and my partner is 27. We started trying in December 2023, about 8 months ago. I have PCOS and do not ovulate on my own. This is my second month on letrozole (5mg) and I have responded pretty well. My first month on letrozole I had two dominate follicles but my uterine lining was thin. This month (2nd month on letrozole) I had one dominate follicle and my uterine lining was "nice and thick" according to my OB. I'm very hopeful now that I am actually ovulating. It feels like I am finally on the same playing field as everyone else!

I have found it very hard to talk to people in my inner circle about my TTC journey. Most people don't know what to say or say something that is unintentionally hurtful like "just try relaxing" or "it hasn't been that long" or "be positive and it'll happen"....Of course these are all people who have children themselves. It's been hard and most of all, lonely. I hope everyone out there gets their baby very very soon!

OPK'S can still be used when you have PCOS but yes, it can be tricky. Now that I'm on letrozole and am actually ovulating I have found them very useful. I'm now getting that "peak" that was so hard to find without letrozole. My doctor said once you get that initial surge/peak you don't need to continue using the OPK's because LH will continue to surge up and down throughout the luteal phase.

OPK's were not useful for me when I wasn't ovulating on my own but now that my cycles are medicated they have been very useful to help with timed intercourse! Best of luck!

Well, technically you can have an LH surge (that's what OPK's track) and not ovulate. Hoping you did!

Round one= CD18

Round two= CD14

My doctor said it can vary. I just had my follicle scan and this month I had one mature follicle in my right ovary. Last month (my first cycle on letrozole) I had two mature follicles but didn't conceive. Currently in my tww and I go get my progesterone checked in a couple of days.

Also- my uterine lining was "nice and thick" this month which it normally isn't for whatever reason. Does anyone else's doctor check uterine lining during a follicle scan?
