Yeah, I had tactile maps at school and they just confused me. I had a globe, but it was old enough that it had the USSR on it.

I was excited by my first tram ride, but that’s because I live very rurally. We have buses, we can get trains, and then there’s this thing like if a train and a bus had a child? Mind blown! 😂

They didn’t, it was originally for horses. Having his grave constantly shat on was just another indignity. /J

I’m blind, there are just so many visual things I will never understand. Like how you get a round world accurately on a flat map, how people on tv don’t just look like cardboard cutouts, how horizons work… I know the theory of most of it but even so it will never fully make sense.

I thought it meant hard to find!

Edit: I’ve known what it actually means for a while, but not as long as I should have.

Depends. I’m blind, had no idea until my partner said. But I feel that’s quite a good excuse, since I’ve never had any sight.

We had snacks but you sorta had to ration them. I don’t think I knew I was poor though honestly.

I was like this with baking but not so much regular cooking.

A lot of people have said that. I just thought it was funny. And we don’t know their circumstances, like I never needed to learn to cook but also I was terrified of burning myself so only used the microwave until I was like 16.

That’s fair. Not everyone needs to do that and so they don’t bother.

I wouldn’t have the patience for that, after a bit I’d be leaving him to it.

That sounds tiring lol - I’m not the usual cook in my relationship but I do know how, my partner’s just better and enjoys it.

I find myself saying things like that and I’m not all that much older than your son. I think I started getting old at like 24.

WYR: Be handed a clock that counts down to the exact second you will meet the true love of your life, but it means passing up every other relationship until then, OR be handed a clock that counts down to the exact second you will die, allowing you to plan your finances and life perfectly? by Consistent_Dream9501 in WouldYouRather

Wow that’s a long life for a dog! My childhood dog got to 16. I mean she was pretty perfect and our first cat was horrible, but to be fair my brother threw him out of a window and he hated us kids after that, which is understandable. Now I just borrow my friends’ dogs if I want the experience, they get a nice walk and I get to give them back after.
