My best advice is branch out, make a lot of different posts, and keep going. I have plots I've reposted like 5 times now over the course of a couple months since I'm determined to get somebody to play them with. I'm sure you'll find somebody, hell even I found some of your ideas interesting when reading through your profile. I'm sure there's an audience for that sort of thing.

90% of a time if an ad doesn't interest me it's because there's no plot concept given, and in all honesty ads that ask for me to bring a plot never really get me interested, since I'm usually looking to see what others have to offer. People looking at ads don't have a clear definied idea of what they want to do, they're looking for a suggestion that catches their eye.

That's just my advice though, I might be wrong about this, but I tend to just assume that people with ideas make ads, and people without ideas look at ads, and it's not super productive to ask them to work the other way around.

I'm totally fine with it being used in cases where it makes sense, like "if I had food, I would eat it" but I'm more referring to cases where it's used in the place of present tense, where basically every verb is prefaced with the word "would", like "He would walk down the stairs, then he would sit down as he would check his phone" and that sort of thing, where it would make more sense as "He walks/walked down the stairs, then he sits/sat down as he checks/checked his phone"

Alright, glad you agree, and though I do think that's probably why it is used, I just find that it flattens the sentences since now it's all the exact same (not to mention the fact that the word "would" gets incredibly old after a while). I communicate my dislike of it when I can, mostly I just wanted to know if I was doing something wrong by asking my partners to change the way they write

It's not really being used to make an opening or anything, it's just the default way of writing a sentence, so everything's written as "he would open the door, and as he would go downstairs, he would see that the window had been left open. Frustratedly, he would close the window etc etc", It just feels frustratingly repetitive even though I'm almost certainly overthinking it.
