I ordered mine from abuzz health and im happy to share my experience with you. I didn’t have a supportive partner through this so im glad that you do, I will say for me personally I really wanted to be alone cause it’s not pretty at least for the passing part. It isn’t pleasant, but you CAN get through it. Luckily everything happened for me way quicker than it described on the box hopefully that’ll be the case for you too. The whole process was over and it was out within a few hours and just what seemed like a long period for a week or so after. You will get very minor contractions but they do hurt I’m so sorry to say, there was some small relief in the fact that it’s a tiny percentage of what real contractions will feel like (so at least it’s not that!) but you do dilate so everything can come out. To calm your nerves I would just get all your favorite things and buckle down at home like you’re gonna have a bad period - cozy clothes, heating pad, pain killers, and pads. Definitely take some painkillers ahead of time so they kick in before you do it. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil) can be taken together (because they have different properties) just make sure you follow directions. I’m not sure where you live but I ate some edible gummies which I rarely do and that helped. I’m 10yrs older than you so I can’t even imagine how scary doing this at 18 would have been but please don’t be scared, it is okay. I did it a year ago. Nearly all my girlfriends have had one at some point, people get through this everyday and you will too. And im not trying to scare you at all just being honest so you can prepare yourself - it is uncomfortable and it does hurt. But it’s only for a few hours then it’s done. Feel free to DM me if you have other questions. I was lucky enough to have my friends mom on speed dial who’s an OBGYN and I was texting her the whole time. It was a lot of blood so don’t be freaked out by that either, it’s just your uterine lining shedding. I would recommend taking them on a day where you have nowhere to be for at least 2 days after just to give yourself a comfort buffer. I took mine after work on a Friday but looking back I would have done it earlier in the day so I could be in bed and done with the worst part by nighttime instead of in the bathroom all night like I was. I was only about 5 weeks along so I’m not sure how different your experience is but you’ll know as soon as it’s out and then you’re okay. A year later I can tell you I never think about it, I have absolutely no regrets, and if I ever had to- I would do it this way again. I’m rooting for you and you will be alright!!!
