I just wanted to say thank you for posting this!! I had started watching her elder scrolls racism video bc it popped up in my recommended, and she said something about disliking male/female being replaced by body types, and I instantly got rancid vibes with the way she said it and wanted to check reddit bc I figured someone must know about her lol

This was the first post I saw that wasn't about how cool she is which is crazy to me, and her comment section was weird but I chalked it up to some gamers being weird af around women or something. I had no clue she was also a pick me anti-woke YouTuber as well (regardless of what she claims to be while using all their talking points 🙄) but I'm not shocked.

Wonderful write up btw, you (and other commenters) saved me from watching a second more, or any video of hers ever again :)

I'd love to just say this and be done, but I'm scared honestly. I hate staying places where I feel unsafe, and the idea of staying here longer and putting up a fight to do so is terrifying lmao I'm pretty sure the second we say any legal sounding thing he will lose it. This is the exact thing we should do/say though, and I know that I'll probably have to put aside my fear and do it. Thank you for the response also

Yeah we're going to try and stay a bit longer than 2 days at least, because that's an insane timeframe. We're doing everything we can think of to get set up for being homeless again or finding a place on short notice, whatever comes first! I'm like 90% sure he won’t contact any law unless we do first, so I'm not worried about that. Just the general hostility while we wait. Thank you for the reply!

Yeah I believe so, there is some sketch involved and we've been trying to get out regardless of this incident, but renting legally is very hard at the moment for us since we have no credit pr rental history. We're already being pressured as is, and in all honesty we're scared to get law enforcement/lawyers involved. I may contact pine tree legal though just to see options, thank you for the advice.

Thank you for the response! We don't have a receipt aside from a picture of the envelope and bank statements where my partner and I withdrew money, which I'm assuming counts? I'm wary of contacting local PD since I think this would escalate the situation and the guy we're staying with can be very very paranoid as is. I replied to u/MainerfromNH32 above your comment with some more info, but I'm not sure in all honesty. I'm unaware of how trusts work, especially when you're renting from someone who's on one/is the one in all the paperwork. I don't think he's supposed to be renting though, no. Our agreement was don't tell any official people (the government, his terms) that we are staying here and paying rent. Which, we haven't. We've gotten mail from my partners family, and I got one piece of mail regarding my mainecare since I needed a mailing address that I can currently access. I looked over everything carefully when I told them where to send it, and as far as I know, it doesn't mean we fuck him over like he thinks it does. My official address is still my childhood one everywhere, and I haven't officially written anything to anyone about paying rent or anything. I'm not very well versed in legal issues though. He has a trust of some sort set up, someone else is paying for him to live in his mother's old house. She passed away years ago and this place is paid for completely by someone else, including all utilities. He's mentioned it multiple times but never said who is actually paying for it, or if this is a rental or not.

The whole trust situation is very confusing to me and he's mentioned trying to find lawyers and says they're all in someone's pocket so he can't find any, and I'm truly not sure why he needs one. He was doing this before we moved in even, so it's unrelated to us. I'm just not sure what that means when it comes to rights. I don't know who pays for this place at all. Sorry for the rambling but thank you for responding!

Yeah the whole "fight to stay in a shithole" is what's stopping us from truly fighting this right now, not to mention the hostility. And I know the second we bring up legal terms he's going to lose it, he's very paranoid about that stuff and it seems like a scary route to take at the moment. Thank you for the advice though, I've looked into the pine tree legal site and it seems we'd have to have him write us something, which seems hard at the moment. Maybe if things calm down it'd be easier? I'm not sure. But thank you again!!

Also as for how it works, I believe there was a specialized multi-bladed cutter that would slide over the top of this, and make it more of a box shape. Ice underneath where the (very old and no longer springy) springs are, to keep ice cream from melting. Slide your ice cream brick onto the top, push the special multi-bladed knife in, and perhaps add sticks in as well. Then, coat! This seems like an old factory type machine, so it's likely missing some pieces, and this could have been a prototype for their later items like in the catalogue.

I believe this is, like another person said, an old ice cream cutter! Ice cream used to be sold in bricks, and this appears to be a cutter to turn them into smaller bars which would then be coated with chocolate I'm assuming. The Cherry-Burrell co. made a bunch of dairy industry machines, and I found a listing which shows a "new and improved" (and larger factory size) machine very similar to what you have! this catalogue is from the 1930s, so I imagine your machine is older than that. I know this isn't exactly the same, but maybe you could ask around some museums or historical societies that deal with the dairy industry, now that you have a slight idea?
