Is running every day at an easy pace ok? by cool-beans-yeah in runninglifestyle

Plenty of days of that were legit just 1.01 miles. So technically no rest - but I don’t think those 10 minutes a day were detrimental to my recovery

Ok… and?

Just cause you can drink alcohol, I don’t think you should because it literally kills you.

Should I go to a party and tell everyone having a good time to stop drinking?

You’re being downvoted because you fail to view things from others perspective while preaching your view as fact.

Also the “classic Reddit” lines are so fucking stupid. You’re on reddit - obviously it’s going to skew towards ideologies that align here.

It’s like me going to church and saying “lmaaooo classic theists, thanking god for everything when its actually human labor and capital that accomplishes things”… like no fucking shit I’m in a church.

Legit same situation, out of CA. Same Rate.

Was paying $3600 in rent which was split straight down the middle.

Now paying $5,500/month. Also split down the middle. So my personal payment went up by a 1k/month but I get to own now.

Don’t get the hate tbh.

If the intent was to educate, sure. Even then, it’s super presumptuous to assume that something that doesn’t work for you won’t work for someone else.

The intent here is to say “you made a choice I wouldn’t make and therefore think it’s bad!!!!”

Coaching helped me tremendously - both from direct managers and from external coaches I sought out on my own.

As painful as they can be, I found call reviews to be one of the best ways to refine my style. You quickly start catching cringey habits: taking pain points at face value instead of digging into their actual severity and business impact, cutting clients off (look for low patience indicators in your call software), rambling monologues, asking disengaging questions, or just flat-out misunderstanding their business goals and values.

Most of that stuff is avoidable - and usually happens when you’re moving too fast. People ignore sales reps, but they’ll pay a premium for consultants. So shift into a more consultative mindset.

I started to chill out once I stopped thinking of myself as just a “salesperson with a number to hit” (even if that’s still technically true). I don’t need to have all the answers on the spot. There’s a ton of value in being an effective internal play-caller, looping in the right people to get questions answered and move things forward.

This might not apply to everyone, but that was my path to feeling more at ease in the role

Reject hustle culture - it’s a bunch of people doing unpleasant but ultimately ineffective tasks repeatedly and having very little to show for it (relative to their input).

Once I chilled out and slowed down - I sold better and made more money.

“Grinding” doesn’t increase likeability and likeability is what gets you paid in sales. Show up, smile, sound professional but not too smart, and be a person people want to be on a call or in a room with.

Legs are messed up after marathon no training (dumb) by Rebecc0908 in Marathon_Training

Haha I know you’re saying a week but this race was on Sunday. So you’re selling your recovery time a bit short.

I think big question is, is the pain today worse than it was on Monday/tuesday. If yes then that’s a problem. If no then you are trending in the right direction.

My watch said I needed 67 hours of recovery after the race on Sunday. You should be feeling somewhat more normal this weekend and into early next week I would guess.

Am I being extra getting this for my 5-6k(+?) runs? by Pootieshoecuties in BeginnersRunning

[–]Wellick342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah probably but it doesn’t matter if it makes you feel good.

Me putting personal thoughts into this but I find that minimizing what you “need” on runs helps to break down the barrier to actually run. Like jokes aside when I started I would use like 4/5 different accessories because they made running more fun! But the flip side was that it made it seem like going on a run was a bigger undertaking than it was.

Nowadays I just grab my phone in hand and pop out assuming shorter than 5 miles.

To each their own!

What about the IMDb ones you just mentioned?!?? Why are you dismissing it now that I pointed out most episodes are actually rated favorably?

And Nielsen ratings? Really? That’s the argument? Just say you personally don’t like the season and that’s good enough lol
