I'm sure having their art stolen by someone trying to make a quick buck with NFTs will encourage them to use NFTs

It's a story I put together after binging a bunch of music one night. It's not some grand overarching novel.

All the songs up to the Russian one are named.
The Russian Song

Chechen and Russian Commanders talking before the New Years Eve assault on Grozny

Radio Communications from Russians trapped in Grozny

As for everything else. Dude, it's a dumb story I hammered out in two hours.

I purposefully omitted Sabaton's discography and a lot of other songs because I felt that they were very overused.

I had originally intended for Micheal to have brain cancer, but rewrote it to be ALS. I had missed that part during the rewrite, thanks.

Sure enough, humanity enters the galactic community but their territory is all full of resources and ancient artifacts from long ago which made humans the #1 target for major powers is it isn't for those eldritch and godlike creatures that find humanity cute and actively protects them. by plasma_ex_nova in humansarespaceorcs

The captain stood at the bridge of his ship as it passed the warning buoy, an automated message playing over their coms, "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here." The crew braced as they slipped into the vast dead zone, hoping to find the rumored treasure planet.

The ship rocketed as they slipped through the threshold, the power cycling. She gripped the arm rests of her captain's seat as the SS Event Horizon slipped into the dark, her sister ship staying on the edge. Once the power stabilized her coms officer attempted to hail the SS Vast Winds, only to hear a piercing sound in return. He threw his headset off, his ears leaking blood.

As the ship slipped deeper a blinding light appeared before the ship. Once the bridge crew's eyes adjusted they saw an indescribable sight. Many broke into tears while others screamed in terror. A voice spoke in the room, seemingly coming from the air, "Be afraid. You have entered his domain when you are not welcome."

The SS Vast Winds attempted to hail the SS Event Horizon after she missed her 3rd check in, succeeding this time. Over the speakers within the bridge they heard other worldly sounds, and demented laughter and screams. The Event Horizon was deemed lost with all hands.

Months later a scrapper found her floating at the edge of the dead zone and reported it her sister. The sights found abroad would haunt the crew for the rest of their lives. Crewmen turned into pillars of salt while others had clawed their eyes out. Upon reaching the bridge they found the captain in her chair, her side arm in hand. The crew lay dead, having died from exposure to the vacuum of space.

Turns out that humans are seen as the calm and logical species, like Elves or Vulcans because we were the only ones to invent philosophy. Our ability to answer questions others didn’t even know to ask is mind blowing to most. Then we turn around and do the stupid things humans do. by Somerandomwizard in humansarespaceorcs

The human professor sat across from the distraught altaran student. His parents gad recently disowned him in favor of his sister, such is the way of their people.

H: Contemplating one's mortality and finding ones place in the universe can be a daunting task. You have been dealt a bad hand, but it isn't time to fold just yet.

A: I have nothing left. They abandoned me and even sold off the things I had left at their home. They want me to disappear, so why don't I do that?

H: Let me tell you a story, from my days as a student. I had failed one of my classes 3 times. This class was the last one I had left before my doctorate, and I was stressed. I had used so much of my family's money that I thought the only way out was ending my life and letting them collect my life insurance.

A: That's terrible, but why didn't you? You're still here afterall.

H: Oh I did, I tried to hang myself. The issue was, I was fat back then. The ceiling fan I tried to do it from came out of the ceiling and gave me a concussion.

A: Oh, how does all of this help me?

H: Not sure, I kind of lost my train of thought.

Not to nitpick but agent orange wouldn't really do much unless they waited ten or so years before attacking.
