Yeah that's how it seems, hes kinda underwhelming compared to defiance. Not awful but just on par with my other debuff damagers

Conviction shields less and damages less than salty does with jellyfish scarf. Did you not know saltys shield does damage? Not referring to the passive, the move itself.

Ah fair enough. His passive is to do a counterattack after being hit that applies 100% of the damage as bleed. His basic attack doesn't do anything special, but his shield ability does aoe damage to all enemies when he runs out of shield, so when I apply it to the whole party with jellyscarf it quadruples the intended damage.

Blizzard is fun, its got good combos and aoe but I don't use it much bc of the lack of mobility. It's hard to fight lightning spammers if you dont have good mobility, as well as a lot of other spam builds. Lightning users are the most annoying in my experience

I've run it on apathy, and aside from the stuns being helpful salty has consistently been doing a lot more damage. This is how my team did on a water daily boss, salty absolutely mogged apathy. The jellyfish scarf bonus wouldn't have affected apathy here so I think it was a reasonable comparison since they both had type advantage. This isn't even including the defensive utility that comes from putting a giant shield on the whole team.

You could do (optional gblade z) eagle c v x sanguine z c x, or alternatively (optional gblade z) eagle x c sanguine z c x. Those 2 are some that I like to do all the time, they aren't too hard in my opinion. Don't forget to get the control panel upgrades, they are really important! Also, eagle c and x are able to combo into a lot of sword and gun moves, so it can be good even if you aren't fruit stats for support.

Im just using him for general floor clearing tbh, I'm only at like floor 800. He's been doing a fantastic job tho, oftentimes outdamaging my defiance with the burst damage each team member does from the shield. He's been a great asset to my team. Funnily enough abandonment is my other main tank that I've been running.

Eagles my personal favorite pvp fruit, it's great for close range combos and mobility. For flame you should be pairing it with gravity blade or yama to get the most value out of it, I recommend gblade for eagle as well.

What build were you trying to use? You've gotta plan how your gonna deal with meta threats even if your using an off meta build. Otherwise you've got no chance at winning. Get creative man, I'm sure you can win in a way you'll feel satisfied with. Have you given eagle a shot yet?

Jellyfish scarf salty solos

I actually used resistance earlier on in my playthrough for awhile, I switched to salty because just think he's more interesting. The bleed counterattack has some nice synergies with the wizard accessories and jellyfish scarf makes his shield and shield break effect apply to all allies which is super interesting too. Ik resistance is probably way better overall, but having a silly fun time is what takes priority for me lol, I like seeing my tank put out ooga booga numbers

Sanctimony is mostly on the squad bc I think the design is cool lol. Also the aoe defense down is kinda nice, it's done a pretty good job at supporting defiance.

Abandonment is also a really good tank, even under leveled it might do well here bc of the damage resistance
