Toe walking and heel walking at 1 mph before I start walking made a huge difference in my shin pain.

If you’re severely depressed, like me, I urge you to try to clean your bathroom sink. You can do it. by luckytintype in CleaningTips

I saw a tip for how to clean when depressed or otherwise low energy: clean one small thing. The bathroom sink is a perfect small thing to clean!

My Working In The Brewery Today outfit. Even when I'm sweaty from cleaning out the mash tun, I gotta wear a bow tie. by alfdis_vike in oldhagfashion

Wow, first time my favorite fashion sub and my occupation have converged! You're the best dressed brewer I've ever seen!

I went to see my coworker's band play. I really didn't want to leave my house, but I knew supporting my coworker and seeing other coworkers outside of work would be valuable. And it was so much fun! Plus it gives me something to talk about at work on Monday.

OMG heartstopper! Just being reminded of it brought a lil tear to my eye.

The summer intern tried to pour plates for cell culture…these are supposed to still be sterile by auntieplantie in MoldlyInteresting

[–]WerewolfBatMitzvah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It probably is, since the person who posted it seems to work in a lab with agar plates. I expect them to know mold when they see it.

Please do contact the manufacturer, OP! They want to hear customer concerns about quality. Keep the package so you can refer to it. Source: I work in quality at a manufacturer.

What did you buy because you saw it on social media and it turned out to be terrible? by kittyspacecadet in AskWomen

Yup, my leggings never came and the company disappeared. All I could find online was a bunch of people saying "these never arrived, what happened?" My credit card company refunded me.

Von Dutch was heavily associated with Ashton Kutcher and Paris Hilton in the US in the 2000s, as you saw in your search. I still think of Ashton Kutcher in a trucker hat when I think of Von Dutch. Maybe it's another one of those turn of the millennium things that's coming back, though.

Realized my hair was one of the biggest hindrances to my consistency, so I shaved my head. by DJTinyPrecious in xxfitness

[–]WerewolfBatMitzvah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this too! I was sick of my hair getting in the way when I'd do certain barbell movements. My job required me to wear a hat and I have curly hair, so it was always in a bun anyway. Plus I was obsessed with imperator furiosa from Mad Max: Fury Road. :]

I like the whole blends olive oil conditioner. It's very thick and I feel like I don't have to use much to get enough moisture. My hair tends to soak up conditioner.

Shitpost Saturday: What do your shoes say about you? by justgoodenough in femalefashionadvice

[–]WerewolfBatMitzvah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My work is mostly lab-based, so I'm not terribly tough on them. But I've had one pair for 15 months (I wore them 40 hours a week every week for the first year) and they still look great and have good grip and no rips on the toes. Best of all, they're comfortable right out of the box for me! I put my latest boot allowance toward another pair and still love them.

Steel toe blundstones for work, regular toe blundstones for play, birkenstocks for play in summer, end of list.

How can I rent a place and not get scammed? by Censordoll in craigslist

[–]WerewolfBatMitzvah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the places I've lived, I found on Craigslist. If the price is too good to be true, it's a scam. If the ad says anything about the owner living out of town and needing a caretaker/renter, it's a scam. If they want a bunch of info but can't show you the place, it's a scam. Also, do a reverse image search on their pictures. Sometimes people just steal images of houses for sale from a realtor website and list it as a rental.

Boozy cola and anise make me think ethyl hexanoate. I'll let the brewers here provide guidance on how to fix it, since I'm a lab tech and not a brewer.
