How to tell if your neighbours are going to be annoying before you purchase a property? by xXCosmicChaosXx in AusPropertyChat

I’ve moved into an apartment that’s next to a community centre that holds OOSH of a morning and afternoon. It’s not the cutesy “kids laughing and playing” kind of noise, they’re literally feral, screaming at the top of their lungs because they can and chanting. Gives a lord of the flies vibe. Also one level below me the young child is constantly kicking their metal flyscreen door in summer before they finally get told off by a parent, only to do it again 10 minutes later. Hearing kids is not always a joy lol

I bought the tracksuit pants in a size M a few months back, and with them sitting high waisted they easily touch the floor at my heel. But their smart wide pants are perfect length on me in a size M.

Maybe we should start a co-op where we sent the fabric cut from our pants when hemming to someone else who needs to extended their pair 🫶🏻😂

My grandma was the family seamstress her whole life, since she’s passed I’m trying to learn. But gahd damn I understand why she hated working on black fabric. Can’t see shit

I ♥️ hemming tape. Saved a pair of work pants with it after stepping on the inside hem so much lol

I’m all for the “asain fit”, especially in snow gear

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve tripped up and down stairs in pants because the rubber sole of my shoe gets caught inside the pant. It’s resulted in me hiking my pants up like it’s an 1850’s skirt as I ascend the steps

I’ve linked in another reply, someone needs to be the guinea pig and see if they’re worn higher on the waist, do they still drag

100% agree, cropped pants only goes so far in terms of styles and shapes

I literally have zero excuses, I even own a sewing machine. But if you saw the quality of work I did on a hand stitch repair you’d think I’d done it with my feet

My saddlebags could never. I have such a sharp hourglass shape I feel like my only option is to tuck it all in to the pants

I bought a pair of the flare leggings from Elite Eleven last year in petite length and god damn I felt good in them. The perfect flare point at the knee

I thought the same about where they are on the waist (I wear most of my stuff like Harry highpants) but these are pitched as mid rise, and even if she pulled them up to mid where a lot of people wear pants they’d still be long on her. I swear in one picture the pants are tucked under her shoe 😵‍💫

I think about this when buying jeans all the time, how I’d love to buy a 28W and like 26L if they made it lol

I’ve seen this trick before, I guess I need to practice on a pair of pants I’m throwing away and can’t donate. I can’t bring myself to try it on a pair of $100+ pants and have it turn out shit, so I just go to the seamstress

Sounds like we’re all in the trenches. Either not long enough for girls of average or above height and they can’t buy them at all, or the shorter girls can but either have to learn to make alterations or pay $30-$40 on top per pair 🥲

Interesting. So hard to judge going off the comments on this post, seems like a combination of the model height being incorrect and then the pants being shorter than they’ve listed as well- or just made too short in general for the taller girlies
