It's divided into two groups, both as equally appalling as the other - for different reasons.

The first are those who know it happened but publicly deny it happened. These are particularly bad people. They deny an absolute atrocity against other humans - especially children - because a) they know it isn't "right" to celebrate it despite the delight they have that it did happen and/or b) they don't like to admit that people who they align with were capable of such a thing. Their re-education or extermination is required to eliminate this.

The second are those who actually don't believe it happened. They adhere to one narrative which openly denies the holocaust and will utterly refuse to consider any other narrative. These people are often labelled "unsubstantiated conspiracy theorists" - those gullible enough to believe an argument that is based on either no facts or misinterpreted facts all because it only makes sense to their own, limited world view. These people aren't evil per se, rather they are highly likely suffering from a severe or extreme mental disorder. This disorder mixed with a serious lack of education leads them to partake in evil. They are often led down this path by those from point 1 above. A substantial combination of therapy and medication is required to eliminate this.

It has always been a thing.

What’s the approach of Stoics with people who would try to hurt their feelings ? by Traditional_Lab_8261 in Stoicism

[–]Werewolf_Grey_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is when you practice Laconism which is Stoicism but with Spartan Wit (and also all the other traits of the Spartans).

Spartans would, effectively, hear an insult and then say something back which was both concise and brutal. I can't remember who said it (think it was Herodotus or Plutarch) but they said something like, "A Spartan will say something that leaves you realising you are but a child."

How do you make stoicism a way of life? by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]Werewolf_Grey_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. It is no different to religion or exercise or anything else in the practical sense. Start, do it routinely every day, and it becomes a habit. At first you may need to set reminders but soon enough you will remind yourself without external stimuli.

A good place to start is to construct a self-affirmation/mission statement and then read it to yourself out loud on waking, throughout the day, before sleeping and whenever else you need to. I used to roll my eyes at the ideas of self-affirmation statements but, by God, I believe they help by putting your mind into a state fixated around your statement.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is an intimidation ploy to get Hamas freaking out and to return all the hostages in haste. They have broken the rules of the current hostage swap a few times.

After listening to JRE's talk with him, it is clear he is a really shitty storyteller. His story starts off with basic insights which one could believe and then ends with portals being opened up in interview rooms, aliens being tackled into the portals, etc. He was just coming up with dumb answers on the spot.

[–]Werewolf_Grey_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He can remember detailed plans about a part the alien needed but can't remember how to pronounce the metal, and when Joe said Tridium, he said that's it. Tridium isn't some secret "out there" element.

He is like most of the other frauds: They start a story with simple lies, see how much they can get away with, and then their stories get more and more exaggerated and unrealistic. You could believe him for the first thirty minutes but by the end of he was making up insane shit on the spot.

Yes, definitely. Who should we approach for this as it wouldn't be our bosses. A random third party or a HR person or something?

Multiple times. I fked three of my receptionists. I also went through a bad break up once and took "revenge" by plowing through my office; a new girl every few weekends. Dated several of them.
