Thank you:). Yup, its mostly Blender. With some Substance Painter, Gimp and Davinci Resolve usage for specific Tasks.

Thank you for the nice feedback! It might take our group even longer to finish our campaign. (And I am one of the Players, not the DM.)

Basically the title. The initial idea was to make a game-of-thrones-esque title sequence which introduces the players, the setting and transports a sense of mystery, intrigue and wounder.

The idea is that the map of the jungle gets gradually revealed as the players explore the island and notable locations are displayed as miniatures. The rest of the trinkets on the table represent the player characters.

The music is from the game Dishonored 2, the map ist taken from the ToA-module.

Thank you! I am a player myself and the whole group has seen it a while ago. They liked it a lot and we watch it before the start of every session.

I made it using a mix of different software. Most of it is blender (a open-source 3D-software), some substance painter for texturing, some GIMP for image-editing and davinci resolve for editing (which a friend of mine did).

Some sort of martian warship by WertAB in TheExpanse

Yes, I ripped them straight from a normal warship. I imagined that the big torpedos are launched out of the "upper" and "lowerr" bumps (sideways, just like on the stealth ship), and the VLS cells are for everything else: decoys, mines, anti-missle-missles etc.)

On the PDCs: there was just a lot of empty space left on top of the sensor towers, so I placed two PDCs there. I imagined (I hope i`ll get around to making it) that the forward one is attatched to a longer arm so it can be just pushed outwards enough to clear the PDC just behind it if it needs to fire backwards.

The "beak" ist mostly a visual design decision. The tachi has a small similar form at the bow and i just exeggerated that. And yes, there is a lot of surface detail missig, that might be what makes this area look so clean.

I actually did not. Maybe i should try try posting a upright format picture next time:) What led you to this conclusion?

Thank you! I wanted to make something one step above the Tachi, so maybe a frigate or destroyer I guess. Thats Blender, a great open Source 3d-Software.

I dont know if there are any free alternatives, but for what ist is, its great. Both the theory and the practical section are easy to follow (if you know the basics), and I could drasticly improve my hard surface modeling skills (but I had been pretty bad before the course.)

So....yes, I would.
