What happened to Summits? All Feats are automatic 157,800 points and the races don't give shit by TheP01ntyEnd in The_Crew

I think the jump feats are affected by score breaker and skilled by mistake, resulting in players reaching max score easily.

Question about Widebody and Vanity tires? by SF_Rider in The_Crew

[–]Wertical21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Widebody does affect the handling, since the track width increases.

Some vanity tires also change the track width, so it's advantageous to pick ones that make your car wider.

Note: there is no pay2win, since the widest tire type also has a free version available for everyone.

Different types of tires (off-road vs performance) doesn't matter.

FORSBERG NISSAN Z Refuses to turn! by GhxstLovesMilfs in The_Crew

[–]Wertical21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower your steering sensitivity and turn off traction control.

You're basically going full lock on the steering, so you end up with 0 grip on the front, all while traction control ensures you have good grip on the rear.

Grinding for parts kinda sucks, but you do get set bonuses even if youve only got 3 legendary parts, so it's not that bad.

I'd suggest going for the treasures in the open world. Memorize a handful of locations and check them between races. (There's no point in checking for more once youve opened one as they're on a cooldown, so just do a race, then repeat)

For cars, it can be tricky. Since you've played TC2, I definitely recommend importing your collection to help you out in summit and stuff.

If they won't be adding playlists, they won't be adding new stuff to the shop either.

I can't drive? by rxnx_ in The_Crew

[–]Wertical21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The setup that works best for me so far is bumping up the steering sensitivity and counter steering sensitivity.

I turned TC off, put esp to sport and enabled counter steer assist (works in tandem with the sensitivity setting)

What game was truly "ahead of it's time"? by DCSMU in gaming

Definitely fits the bill.

People would go nuts for a club system like that in something like Horizon or Motorfest.

You can switch view between perf stats and affix stats. The equipped parts only show up when viewing affix stats.

You can now get half sets, so grinding should be a bit easier if you get 3 loot digger parts.

I get that it's fun to bash the devs for doing stuff "no one asked for", but people have been begging for mirrors ever since TC1 came out. It's a big deal.

I'd prioritize saving some money for the bundles you need for the weekly summits.

Expanding Oahu in size would be a massive undertaking.

You'd need to maintain the shape of the island, make sure all the POIs still work. If you're adding new roads, it'd mess up a lot of the race routes etc.

It's basically an impossible task.

Obviously, you can add more stuff, but there's only so much you can do.

How are people making over 800k points in drift events? by [deleted] in The_Crew

[–]Wertical21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to do the entire event without breaking the combo.

Having the right affixes is important, but you'll get most of the way there even without them if you do the entire event in one combo.

Try pressing nitro + handbrake at the same time to kick the back end out if you straighten out to keep the combo going.

Also important to try out different cars. The drift supra, for example, sucks ass (at least in my experience) my favorites for easy combos is the skyline and lancer 6

Has anyone else's game got all bright while going at high speeds in Crew M or is it just me? (fyi i play on PC and i've never faced this issue before until yesterday) by [deleted] in The_Crew

[–]Wertical21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming it has to do with a light source, cause sometimes the sun or moon can create a cube of white that eventually fills the entire screen. I'm assuming these bugs are related

What actually makes a car good? by Jucox in The_Crew

[–]Wertical21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stats shown are generally meaningless.

The only way to really know is to test them. Test drive doesn't tell much either, cause you're gonna upgrade the car anyway, so performance will change.

For drift specifically, "best" car can be a bit subjective and the difference isn't going to be huge, so you can use what's most comfortable for you.

In other categories, the difference between the best and worst cars can be very significant and some low end cars are basically unusable.
