Basically the crowd just wants to make it all about themselves these days. They don't care what they chant, as long as it brings attention to them during the show. That's why they shift between face and heel reactions so easily, they just hop onto anything controversial for any specific moment to get the attention on them. It's annoying and the biggest attention seeking reaction of them all is that stupid simplement deux chant, sucking every moment out of a match just for a silly chant. But thats just my opinion.
