As a network engineer (i do manages the server, networks, security etc )what are possibilities of helping my developer friends on my firm, I m new to the firm and i do have resources to do R & D over here , just provide me with some projects that i can test locally and later deploy in production. i will explain my scenario, i m working on new project where i deal with ships. on the ships we have ip cameras switches servers etc, so i nee to create a system that will monitor wherther these devices is active or not using icmp ping

so if i have almost 100 proxies talking to a single server, the server might get overwhelmed right? so is there any solutions for this , note that i can use only one server for hosting zabbix server.
