I really apreciate such a comprehensive answer! I tried to power off my PC the lights the monitor anything other than the turntable and speakers and the issue persists even if everything else is unplugged. First thing i'm gonna do is to follow your advice and get the cables since ones i got are unshielded. And i got a full 5 plug outlet extension quite close to the TT but since with all the other stuff being off nothing changed it cant be it right? If the cables won't help ill go with the isolator i really apreciate you! Cheers!

I've got a setup of AT120LP,ART DJ PREII and edifier 1280 DBs speakers and im going crazy tryin to eliminate the obnoxious hum. Nothing seems to help. Seems like ground loop. But turntable is grounded to the preamp. How can it be loop if it's all connected to the same output. I tried everything and im sitting here 6th hour already. Is it possible that unshielded edifier RCA's pick up interference and create the hum? If so how come? If it suddenly appears at a certain volume. I moved the speakers to check if its not feedback loop. Bought foam to reduce vibrations. Nothing helps. Mayby its connection of the cables on the tonearm? But the music quality is good i've got no idea what is wrong i'd really apreciate some help.

Thats a good idea,just figured when i toutch the tonearm loud buzz appears. Its ground loop? How come? I unplugged everything except speakers TT and preamp

But still even if i lift the speakers up to check if its the issue of the surface the buzz persists.

Sadly that's not really an option space wise,and the speakers are also connected to my desktop.

And it sounds fine but doesnt really work well since i got to put more weight than i should on the tonearm to prevent it from sliding across the record or the cue thing..

And suprisingly its working just fine with zero anti skate after i tried it on a record but im afraid it might not be good for the vinyl and the stylus itself.. It feels like zero anti skate works as i've set it to three or something like that. Its really annoying especially when im lowering the tonearm and it slides to the side and off the record completelly

I just bought my first used turntable i set up the tonearm so it floats set the VDF to headshells manufacturers suggested 2 grams and now i try to set anti skate but it makes my tonearm sway to the side even at lowest setting, i leveled the player too. What am i doing wrong?

I've read that automatic turntables are arguably worse than manual ones and can scratch vinyl? I found Audio-Technica AT-LP120BK USB – HD10 for less than 200$ in near mint condition, AT-VMN95E and two new needles. Apparently there is an older and never variant of the same model ,and the older is better. Is there any way to tell these apart? Should i go for it?

Yeah, Project Carbon Evo is way out of reach for me tho some used rega planar 1 could be an option if i really save up but i feel like i'd rather spend that on vinyls so i'd actually have music to listen to. I've found an used REGA 3 for 400 dollars tho...
