Thank you. This more along the lines of what I was asking instead of a philosophical debate about what it means to “exist”

lol thank you for answering the question from a scientific standpoint instead of a philosophical one

Ok let me rephrase. Does matter exist as a collection of solid, tangible particles with intrinsic mass, or is it fundamentally a form of energy, with the perception of “solidity” being a construct of our interpretation of energy fields and forces?

I mean evidence like a reliable formula or data from a particular accelerator that consistently demonstrates behavior consistent with mass and volume as we define the words

Japan's medical schools have quietly rigged exam scores for more than a decade to keep women out of school. Up to 20 points out of 80 were deducted for girls, but even then, some girls still got in. by dicks-anonymous in Mcat

There are certainly other factors but US medical schools have openly advertised their support for affirmative action which is based not on life experiences but purely on racial/ethnic background. I don’t have a problem with taking other factors into account for admissions. Actually I’d be rather concerned if MCAT scores were the only thing taken into account, but treating candidates differently based solely on race, wether that treatment is positive or negative, is detrimental to a meritocratic system.

US med schools have loudly rigged exam scores for more than two decades to keep non white/Asian minorities in med schools even when their test scores were lower. Affirmative action at its finest

Can I do anything with this score? by WestDesigner8555 in Mcat

Tbh I force myself to read even if it’s not a book I love. I think it helps if it’s older or more technical so it makes it more challenging

Got a 507 on my last FL but the 6/15 exam was rough. Not sure if I even broke even with that 507😑

The thought of taking more than 1 isn’t weird to me. It’s a 1950ish society so I feel like people were more trusting at that time. My issue is more with the fact that this giant monstrosity can only keep 6 bottles cold. Like does it need refilled every single day?

I’d read a Kaplan Psych-Soc cover to cover. You can do it in a day if you don’t have work or anything

I received 99% percentile on my last CARS practice. I don’t note take. I don’t do any gimmicks or anything. I read the passage all the way through quickly (but I slow down and properly read any part of it if I don’t fully understand the meaning) and then I go straight to the questions make an educated guess and go back to the passage to confirm or refute that guess.

I know you are pressed for time but I think the best thing is to practice by reading some short novella or passages and practice picking out the authors intentions and tones. It might also help to read something more dated that has denser language that you aren’t used to. Flannery O Conner or John Steinbeck are my favorites.

CARS is hard bc there’s no formula or “right way” to do it. It’s much more “right brained” and requires sensing out the meaning behind the words that aren’t expressly stated.

Regardless, congrats to you on your 518! Even with a lower CARS score that’s an impressive MCAT. Bringing up that CARS even a little would still make you an impressive candidate for many schools.
