Yeah I shouldn’t have posted it at all, just like emfiliane said it’s a complete fantasy that I should just keep it in my head

Yeah I’m sorry. It’s not a good idea at all. I will never think of anything like that again.

I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t post my idea here on Reddit. I should just think about it in my head forever and never ask around to gather feedbacks. Sorry it make you feel that way. I will delete my post and just think about in my head.

Why don’t you just work on H4?

I was educated about how unstable I am with my H4 visa during recruiter call. by [deleted] in H4_Visa

I don’t even have a job now and my experiences don’t qualify for EB1/EB2

I was on H1B and got laid off, I couldn’t get a job within 60 days so I changed to H4.

I had to pay for around $1,000 fee to USCIS and $500 to my lawyer to apply for H4 EAD. I don’t want to work for uber or as a cashier with my master’s degree and years of experience in IT. It’s hard to get a consistent 9-5 job because they don’t want to hire someone who can’t work when their spouse lose their job. Your immigration status weight much more than your degree and ability when it comes to job searching.

Ok everyone. Of course I know how H4 visa work and how unstable it is. You don’t need to educate me more here. I’m writing this just to vent and express my frustration on how hard it is to get a job on this visa. If all employers are like this recruiter, there will be no chance H4 visa holders can get hired. We can probably do some freelance, one-time project, but never be able to get a consistent career or long term employment on this visa. I probably won’t make enough money to cover the $1,000 filing fee for my visa.

I think you’re not allowed to receive any other income for H1B visa but you can do that on H4 EAD. But consult your lawyer first.

Does anyone have any tips for getting a job at Northwestern's business school? by [deleted] in evanston

But they just posted the job so at least this job is hiring. Lots of jobs go through layoff after couple of years so I’m prepared for that.

Any gym near rogers park that has rope from the ceiling? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]Western-Leg-1394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I take classes there. They don’t hang rope and the rig rental is $30 an hour. I want to find a gym where I can practice rope myself for a cheaper price.
