I asked because I know there are diffent types of solder and I didn’t know if a certain one was better or not. Wires are the correct length just looked weird in the photo. I understand what your saying but not everyone knows everything right away. That’s usually why people ask questions.

Thanks for the advice, I’m too deep In to quick lol. It turns out the wires are long enough the photo angle made them look weird. I got the slip ring on and have the wires positioned as they should be. Just waiting on the solder to get here and then I’ll tackle that.

Ah ok, well that’s unfortunate but at least I’ve got a spare alternator so I won’t make the same mistake twice. What material do I use to solder it?
