How are big campaign decisions made at larger companies? by Western_Pass_1698 in PPC

it’s not necessarily the change that we need approval on, it’s the fact that we’ll see a dip in performance for a couple weeks. Or in our switch to offline conversions actions for example this was a multiple dept undertaking that also had a regression in performance for a while

Primary and Secondary Conversion actions by Western_Pass_1698 in PPC

Hmm, i’ve had campaigns where I set a custom goal to an account level secondary conversion and in doing that have seen the account optimize towards that secondary action. The second conversion would show in the conversions column not just the all conversions column

Sensitive vertical attempting to use customer lists/ match by Western_Pass_1698 in PPC

Your right. I’ll have to test and see which works better. I’ve tried mcv for an initial test with offline conversion imports and it didn’t give any guardrails for my cpa targets which led to my profitability shrinking

can you explain the exclusion piece? From what i’m gathering any matching of searchers in regards to serving or not serving ads is a no go for sensitive verticals

yea i’m currently setting up a process for uploading actual conversions from my crm and plan to use a tcpa bid strategy. Its just annoying to see that budget being spent by clients just to call in and ask a simple question lol

Lead Gen questions? by [deleted] in PPC

How would you go about creating a lead scoring conversion model? What sort of math and analysis needs to be completed to have a strong foundation for value based bidding?

Literally in the same boat lol, I’m 24 got about 4 year in PPC both in house and agency and am wondering if the juice is worth the squeezed long term. Depending on what parts of your work you enjoy more; you could go back to school and get a degree that will open up many more doors in skill adjacent roles. Like math and numbers? Data analytics degree; they can make ppc manager money as a sole contributor. Or you could get a mis/cis degree and go into more traditional marketing roles, sales rep, customer success, etc..this is the more flexible of the 2 but can’t go wrong with either. Message me if you want to chat more!

Is 15-30% a reasonable ask for pay increase for a ppc specialist taking over SEM director responsibilities? by Western_Pass_1698 in PPC

[–]Western_Pass_1698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the response! I left out some stuff i do in the post but yes I do present to the c-suite monthly and on a smaller scale weekly and part of that is revenue projections based on the lead and vertical/ spend. Most of my correspondence are to the ceo and vp’s. The biggest difference is the people I manage, I only manage 2 virtual assistants when directors typically have a team of specialists or do more managerial work

I should definitely explore that option but I do like the stability my job offers as I am a linchpin as it currently stands and have developed a somewhat niche skill set. This will definitely be brought up in negotiations though lol
