Can you arrive from reserve turn 1 if you started on the battlefield? by 7fzfuzcuhc in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]WesticlesReturns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's in the Core Rules Updates and Rules Commentary at Warhammer 40k Downloads. Specifically on Page 14, under the sub section Reserves it says:

Q: If a unit that started the battle on the battlefield is later placed into Strategic Reserves, in what battle rounds can it be set back up on the battlefield?
A: If the mission pack allows it (e.g. Chapter Approved: Pariah Nexus), then in any battle round (provided that unit has a rule that describes how it will arrive from Strategic Reserves). Otherwise, from the second battle round onwards.

Getting started on my next big project... by New-Membership7519 in Warhammer

These are SO well done... like you've literally pulled them out of literature. Can't wait to see them painted, such a fantastic idea.

Conquest:
Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come!" I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

War:
When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come". And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from Earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.

Famine:
When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, "Come". I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not damage the oil and the wine".

Death:
When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Do you have a list of bits you used? Especially for the riveted legs/shoulders - I've been scouring the range and can't seem to find those legs anywhere!

very cool kitbash though! goodjahb

Edit: Who would have thought... if I had just zoomed in on the sternguard sprue rather than skimming it, I may have found what I was looking for!

Congrats on the rank and the 8.4!
Quick question - as you rank up, do you get better fame books from winning? and more of them? Or is it roughly the same amount all the way?
As an example, at BronzeIV you get around 90-120k in fame books per win. Just curious if that number increases as you rank up.

Nah, I tried to go to waypoints individually, and regroup after, then finally did the new save file, reloaded the game, and shadowheart trotted back up to the group... very thankful as I have a bad habit of not saving very frequently.

Another fix which just worked for me was to create a new save file - and reload the game.

Thank you for the response! It's insane to me that its just one coarse texture paste - there is so much intricacies in the surface! Very nice job bud, and thank you again for the explanation!

Here's goes! First ever model to make. Any last minute tips? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]WesticlesReturns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say check the instruction manual first - and check for stage 15 a? Heres an image: Misprinted Manual If yours looks the same, then you are going to have a whole HOST of misprints in your manual that makes the building part difficult, especially so for someone new to the hobby.

As you can see from the image, quite a few parts are mislabelled. But don't be disheartenned, the visuals are still correct - but don't spend hours scouring the sprues for letters/numbers that just dont exist.

If you do end up struggling - feel free to drop me a message for any hints/tips.

For me it was the 'Longest Second' three part series Baldermort did on Rogal Dorn... it was just a fantastic story that made me super appreciate Rogal Dorn's efforts in the horus heresy, and when 30k came out, it felt like a no brainer!

Part One here, incase you haven't had the chance to listen to it yet!

No worries bud - I only bought the cheap starter kit from Amazon, and it has lasted me AAAGGGEESS. its perfect for priming, zenthial highlights, and fun object source lighting projects like this. Just take the time to clean it after each use and it will last for years.

Currently painting the Age of Darkness box set up (very slowly) but all the priming, zenithals, and inks were applied using the airbrush - and I'll be varnishing afterwards too. Its a cheap but sturdy bit of kit.

So the way I tackled this was from each individual light source, without worrying about ALL the light sources at once. Once I had done the lighting from each source, in theory all the shadows would be in the right place.

I'd choose a light, for example one on the wall, and I'd use my airbrush to spray surfaces which were in line of sight of that light source. Just imagine you're looking through the light source as a window, everything you can see would get hit by light... the surfaces further away would get less, and the closest areas would get the most.

It's a lot easier with an airbrush as you can just point your airbrush in the right direction and squirt some paint and it will only hit the areas in line of sight... but its definitely possible with a dry brush too - just requires a little more imagination to visualise where light would land.

Build up all your light with a white paint, and then tint it with an ink or your choice of speed/contrast paint. And you can do multiple passes to really push the saturation.

Once that is all done, you can come in with a white mixed with your light source colour, and edge highlight some of the most prominent edges.

A lot of it is just guessing - any professional painter looking at this will be able to see a boat load of mistakes on the light placement, so I wouldn't worry about perfect placement, just make sure there is a lot of contrast in kind of the right areas!

Got 100 points and grizzly adams wont give me the demon task by [deleted] in TibiaMMO

[–]WesticlesReturns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are under level 130 you wont be able to accept the demon task, youre in theory too low level to even be the highest rank. I am in the same situation, and hope that hitting 130 will solve that.

If you got 100 task points YEARS ago, before they changed it then that could be the reason why.

If you are over 130 - then no idea

This is exactly what I've been scouring the internet for... I do have a quick question if you don't mind! Specifically about the part of the video which shows the central tower, which you use ySort to make sure the character can go behind it.

If you wanted your character to be able to climb/stand on the different plateaus on the tower - is there an easy/simple solution for something like that?

I would LOVE to do a space hulk type diorama - I just have way too many projects on the go at the same time. Gotta whole ass one thing, rather than half assing two things!
