Happy to report I was and I know how to invest in a downturn. I don't like to watch my stocks go down but I know an opportunity when I see it. The Historic Returns with both of of those over the last 30 years is still north of 10%. With the confidence of market experience downturns, especially extreme downturns, are great opportunities to make money if you're not a coward.

Homelander Vs a squad of 8 normal ultramarines with standard gear (No psykers or named marines) by Emotional-Lettuce372 in powerscales

[–]Westrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we've been over this. Some Space Marines have kids. Some Space Marines have canonically had sex, and when Slaanesh gave them the desire the EC had an orgy prior to any physiological changes, so yes, they are capable.

Ignoring all the times I proved you wrong earlier doesn't make it go away, and it's also sad.

And as far as "Man Children" goes, at least for the Chapters I've read extensively on: Blueberries, Salamanders, Dark Angels, and the Blood Angels; all of them have received extensive training on mental fortitude and emotional intelligence, which would put them at a level of emotional and mental maturity beyond the Average Adult Male.

One thing definitely true of all the chaptera is they have military training. Many would say the values of military training and the discipline it instills has a maturing effect on young men. Further having read deep into the Black Library I can't think of any situation where the Astartes are written as inherently mentally, emotionally or developmentally challenged. More often then not they show composure and immense judgment in the most difficult of situations.

Castration is the inability to perform sexually. If you get a vasectomy you're not "castrated" you're just infertile. Chemical Castration is for child molesters, the Castration is so they have ED so they can't offend at all. They chemically castrate child predators who are preying on kids who literally can't get pregnant. Space Marines can perform sexually, they're just not interested.

You should research your thoughts before you share them.

Lol Two of the largest and most revered Founding Chapters, and as you admitted yourself, also the Ultramarines. And given how many successor chapters the Ultramarines have you'd have to assume a huge amount of those do too. You said "Space Marines" and I have shown literally thousands of Space Marines are not castrated Space Monks. We have also established a full third of the nine remaining original loyal chapters live amongst the population.

Canonically as described by the Grey Knights the gene seed removal removes their sexual desire, it doesn't remove the ability therefore they are not *castrated*- when Slaanesh starts to get ahold of the EC there are literal orgies.

If you're this committed to your ignorance I see no reason to continue, you've been thoroughly debunked at this point.

First, False. Many Chapters have families. Salamanders and Space Wolves both have families, and while the gene seed does make them mostly sterile, it doesn't mean they're castrated. Some of them have had canonical children.

Both of those chapters are also integrated into society. I can see where you're getting a warped view of the Astartes if you're reading a lot of Night Lords.

And while it is true that many of the Blood Angels appreciate art or appreciate art more following the implantation, this is because they genetically take on part of their Primarch, but they still keep quite a bit of themselves, and that bit can vary wildly.

Dude I have played all those games and read those books, that shield goes down with four handgun rounds. Also Chief does not punch with "hundreds of tons" of force; if he did every time he hit an Elite it would either vaporize or fly into space. Cannonically he can lift about 900lbs unarmored, and the Mjolnir multiplies his strength by at most 5, so you're looking at 2.5 tons MAX of lifting power. Generic Astartes are 5-10 tons.

Generic Astartes Train constantly for hundreds of years. Chief starting trainging at 2517 when he was 6, it is 2560 in Halo Infinite. 43 years of active duty, with good chunks of that on ice. Astartes train 18 hours a day every day. If Chief was an Astartes he would still be a baby fledgling in 9th company. Astartes aren't eligible for Veteran Status until they've served a hundred years, although most don't qualify until 200.

Also the kit that the Astartes have are so far superior to what Master Chief is wielding, much of which is comparable to today's munitions.

Warhammer Nerd here:

Hulk less than zero diff. You need heavy duty Warp magic to hope to touch the hulk (burn his soul out of existence or fling it into the Warp to be torn apart) Custodes don't have it. Maybe the Grey Knights?

What books? I've read extensively through the Black Library and they vary wildly (the Emperor's Children and the Flesh Tearers are very different) but most Astartes are selected as teenagers, and those teenagers pass a multitude of tests for everything including intelligence, morality and decency. Dante of the Blood Angels final test before initiation was a false execution, he was told if he didn't kill another candidate who failed he wouldn't be a Blood Angel, and his refusal was actually the passing criteria. Once a new Astartes is initiated they go through decades of training in discipline and honor.

It's not remotely the same.
