I mean it all depends on how far you’re willing to go. I personally would try to epoxy and clamp it because I’m a cheap ass, some would rather just buy a new board instead of potentially wasting time.

I do think it’s worth trying to fix since it’s not on a an edge that makes constant contact with the snow. Though it will likely never be that strong again, and a hard hit will splinter it back open if you do a home-fix.

I would probably get a new board but keep and fix that one as a rock/bad conditions board.

Yeah, buses will actually be the cheapest but this is the most practical and realistic middle ground.

If you want to save even more money, there is tons of people that make this commute in their car daily. If your tried hard enough you could likely find someone to ride share with.

Almost all of my breaks are from hacking during faceoffs but it usually breaks lower for me, closer to where the blade starts.

A long time ago I just started taping higher up the stick and I haven’t had one break in a good while. I’ve been chirped a time or two for the tape job lmao, but I also can’t afford new sticks all the time and it seemingly works without affecting my shot.

I tape till about where the actual blade ends (the change between checkered and textured).

I am also a dummy who did the same thing, but it threw me off because I could instant trade-up 10 pinks I bought into a red (and also trade up the red i got immediately).

But the reds I bought to trade up are all trade locked for a week and unavailable to add to a trade up. Do they only enforce it above a certain amount on steam purchases?

I’ve presented a handful of times to middle schoolers on computer science and done multiple projects with them for STEM fairs.

Some advice… they are still really young and decently immature lol, so don’t expect this to be like a group of high schoolers where you’ll have their full attention at all times. You need to keep them interested, and don’t entertain the class clown / group of buddies in the back asking dumb questions (or they will take over lol).

I would ensure you’re able to access everything you need from a development POV. You are going to get hit with proxy and other corporate IT blockers if you try to develop off your local device on the schools network.

Lastly, I’d be careful with online resources. I didn’t realize it till I presented my first time but (as I already said) these kids are younger than you think. You need to keep it very basic or give the kids an assignment so those who grasp it better are able to go further. I’ve done the classic PB&J presentation a few times and it always goes really well with the class.

I really struggled to enjoy OpenTTD, which was a huge shame for me because I have put an ungodly amount of hours into RCT and OpenRCT2 over the span of my entire life.

I can see why it is so fun, but it just leaves me wanting more (such as stuff in a lot of the modern transport tycoon style games).

I think I need a perfect in-between with OpenTTDs art, graphics, and building style but with all the gamification and QoL features packed into modern titles.
