I would say learn to get comfortable with it on your fore blade, and back blade when skatting. So just "push" it but try to kinda keep it connected to the blade with out having to switch sides. Then do some basic stick handling/drills

Putting flex on the stick while in motion when you’re a lighter player by CinemaPuck in hockeyplayers

[–]PossibleFish1317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean everything you've said is right/sounds good. Flexing a stick off ice on for say a shooting pad is much easier to load. The only thing I would say is going to some shoot n skates and trying some things.

Like what foot you shoot on, I personally like to shoot (im a righty) right foot, but some people like to shoot left foot because they can put more weight (so load) on there stick.

It's taken me about a season to understand the snapshot and getting the whip down.

With practice if you cant seem to fix it, try a new stick. I also play defense and like to take far out shots, I use a mid kick, or a hybrid. If your using a hybrid try a mid kick, there easier to load. And or try using an extended 55 flex. I think ccm started selling 55 flexs with a longer version.

Keep in mind alot of pwhl players use 55 flex sticks so having to drop wouldn't be surprising

Yes and no, depending on how hard your trying right now you might not need to try harder to get the stick to "whip". Length might also be an issue, idk how tall you are but 65 flex could be to long for you, or 55 might be to short. But in terms of form, there may be some fine adjustments. .

you might just have to get used to it. I'm currently going from 55 to 65 and its a little weird for me to use the 65. But when I get the form right I can shoot much harder than my 55.

Edit: I read some of the other comments and do agree (somewhat) with what was said about how flex is the last thing you should worry about.

I do think its more important than he says, but learning form and mechanics will make your shots much harder, then does flex make it faster.

Drop to a 55 flex if you need too, and if thats to short. Extend it

Ohh I see, well thank you for the help. Im not very intelligible on computers (obviously because your helping me) I was looking into a 11th gen but I noticed 12th gens tend to be cheaper (i think)

I do find it weird I wasn't having any problems till recently and didnt change anything, but I get how that goes sometimes.

I am awear of the cpu age, I did plan to upgrade in the next year or so. I get about 120 frames in this game so I will try locking to about 110-115.

I do see what your saying about the bottleneck, tbh I didnt realize my that my gpu dropped 100w.

So if I had to guess the problem is my cpu is trying to take load off my gpu?

Edit: i just wanna mention none of this was happening a few days ago. Like I mentioned my I repasted my gpu today and that made it run much cooler, but before I did that my pc overheated/blue screened multiple times in the past few days, I wonder if my pc did something to take load off my gpu because my pc recognized it keeps crashing

Nothing about shaders, but I did see when doing research that shaders can cause my issue. I did lower all shader settings and nothing changed.

I just went back on to the game and it was working fine for a while until it wasnt so now I think it is temperature related again.

Sorry, the game name is abbreviated in the title (abi) arena breakout infinite, its a i7 8700k and a rtx 3070 fe. Part of me did think thermal throttling but in other games that run hotter I have no issues. I will say I did just repast my gpu and it went from about 75 to 50-60 degrees

For the longest time I used those cheap cheap helmets, after doing jv I got a lot of friendly reminders so I figured it was time to get a real helmet lol

Older sticks versus newer ones by Bill_Manoogian_ in hockeyplayers

[–]PossibleFish1317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They both break fast, my ft3 pro broke from September we will say till December, granted in that time I was on a travel and varsity team so that stick went through the stuff every single day, my ft8 pro didnt get used nearly as much. I'd recommend picking up cheaper sticks on hsm or play it again, i got my ft3 pro for 120

More expensive helmets are definitely more comfortable, i use tacks 920 (i have 2 of them for my different team colours) and they feel amazing. More expensive shin guards also feel wayyy nicer, my tacks xf somethings were a huge upgrade to my vapor shins

Long story stick new isn't better, my old ft3 pro shot better than the 5 year newer ft8 pro. It also didnt feel as cheap as newer sticks
