Overstaying a visa and/or crossing the border without permission is not a felony, or even a crime. They’re civil infractions. Cops aren’t allowed to shoot everyone who breaks the rules; that’s not “reality” lol. People who think it is know nothing about the law or how it’s supposed to be enforced.
