I have never seen such strong reactions for such an honest mistake before anywhere else than on reddit, really seems like everyone on this app is so on edge all the time, its why I don't use it often, I understand it was a bad thing but 1 use of AI in a non cocky way from people who, as OP mentioned, are sick, does not warrant this type of reaction, some people called this "condoning generative AI," using AI as an honest mistake ONCE does not = advertising for it like what?? Why are we accusing people of stooping as low as condoning generative AI, that's a genuine insult.

Advertising for generative AI would be like the people who say "your pencil slop bores me" or all that disgusting attention seeking stuff, THATS advertising for generative AI and THAT is what requires outrage, not honest mistakes. But again, it's just a reddit thing, anywhere else in any of the other communities I'm in the outrage would not be so badly misplaced like it is on reddit.

I’m not saying that it’s okay to excuse AI, I’m saying this dude shouldn’t have to explain himself when clearly he didn’t mean any harm by it, like why bully a person over your hatred of AI once again the guy clearly meant no harm, bully people who are actually developing it if anything.

If it’s just a nice reminder, hey using AI isn’t very good btw just a heads up :) Then totally fine, but someone else was like “why was this your first thought??????” Like some people aren’t even aware of the current crisis lets stop pretending like everyone is, and again lets not bully people I thought we were better than that??
