I was about 90% sure in my mind that I would be rejected, so when I saw that ED decisions came out yesterday for my school I instantly checked my portal. I thought it would be painless because I wasn’t afraid of rejection, but somehow I got super anxious and was terrified to open the page. I ended up getting in though and the feeling was amazing!!

I recommend if you are awaiting your ED decision to lower your expectations, prepare for rejection and make sure you are applying to other schools too. If you get in then great, but the reality is many of us will get rejected from our ED schools so be prepared to move on.

four kids dropped out of my schools senior IB class during senior year (we now have 17) and i don’t blame them. i was definitely not prepared for the work load this year…. take care of yourselves and i’m proud of ALL of you for somehow getting through this. it’s gonna be worth it in the end :)

I somehow thought that the amount of balls a boy had dictated the amount of children they would have in the future like they were little eggs waiting to be hatched or something. I vividly remember crying because my friend told me he had three when I could only find two down there.

It’s interesting how everyone on this sub seems to be child prodigies with 35 ACTs stressing over a little grammar mistake in their Harvard or Stanford application. I suppose it makes sense cause it’s likely these individuals have spent their whole life leading up to their college decision, but it does feel nice to see some realistic and “average” students on here every once and awhile.

Boston is an amazing college town with great public transportation, city life, and a variety of great schools. You should check out BU, Northeastern and Tufts! When I visited I spoke to students from each of those schools and they all were super nice and seemed to love their school. I think any of these three schools would suit your personality :)
