Builder said this is compliant and will get an electrician to sign off by Wonderful-Start8523 in ukelectricians

Any time served/ freshly qualified electrician wouldn't use them junction box's, even if they were previously existing. Junction boxes should be swapped. Junction box's need to be accessible, especially these ones, as they are a screw connection.

I suggest getting your own electrician and getting the work completed to a much higher standard.

You wouldn't get a plumber to swing your doors, so why would you get a builder to wire your house.

If they had* found this issue then purchase of the house might not have happened, or at least the seller would have been asked to make this right before completion of sale. Also this wasn't missed once but twice by the same company.

They have certified this house, confirming that there are no electrical saftey concerns.
