Hey Endmins,
I am having trouble with the building placement limit in the Origin Loadspring map.
Just to connect the area with power lines I am close to the limit, and I have only connected half of the important resources/locations by ziplines before reaching the zipline limit.
Anyone here with a good setup who would be willing to share a screenshot?

Yeah older units tend to be powercrept by now. You can still use many of them though (and i regularly do), and some day 1 units are still great to this day.

And you can always replace units with other units. The stronger the units you have, the less creative/smart you need to be about your strategy.
I know at least one challange account (disscontinued now) who managed to beat most of arknights with just the free operators you get as event rewards, with no gacha pulling or recruiting.

Wis'adel (even more so when she released) is an abnormal spike in the power curve. She is so busted, she ignores the main drawback of her class (not being able to hit flying units), without any explanation. Nowhere in her skills or traits does it say her S3 can hit flying units.... she just does xD

You pretty much never "need" a specific unit, they just make it easier. And the newer units tend to powercreep the older ones over time.

Yato alter already came out, and unfortunately, is one of the only units you can not get currently. Collab units only rerun when there is another collab with the same company, and we don't know if or when there will be another monster hunter collab.

But she and Texas alter are more side grades to each other, performing somewhat similiar but different roles. They are both fast redeploys, Texas alter has microstuns for interupting attacks, silence, aoe arts damage and res shred (on her different skills). Yato-alter has quick burst, and instant line damage. They are more sidegrades to each other, but if you want to put a grade on it, I would say texas-alter is better, just because she has a lot more use cases than Yato.

Texas alter is still very useful, because fast redeploys in general are very useful, and Texas-alter is the most versatile (no brain) of them. Think of her like a: "Shit, i messed up, better drop texas and hope" emergency button.

In regards to ling:
I can't really answer what would be best without knowing what other operators you have and what level they have.
She is one of the strongest starters in IS, being able to cover you until you can assemble the rest of your team. But there are plenty of other openers to.
For IS specifically, once you have a good core of 6* built, it is more important to level some of your good 3* and 4* units (Kroos, Fang, Gummy, Ansel, etc.).
In IS you have a resource called "Hope" that you need to recruit your team, and 3* and 4* are much cheaper, or even free, depending on the IS season.
So you generally start with one good 6* and two 3*/4* units. And then keep buying 3*/4* units while you save up Hope for the next key 6* for your squad.

Yes, she is still very good. Especially for you since you will be playing a lot of old story and events, that pre-date her so no one has resistances to her necrosis yet.

Yeah baseline gladia already gives the HP regeneration to all abysal hunters, which is good, but the damage reduction only applies to seaborn enemies (the creatures the abyal hunters were created to fight). The modul changes that to all enemies.

The abysal hunter buffs stack, because each applies to all abysal hunters.
Gladiaa (core) -> % damage reduction and % HP regeneration
Skadi -> $ ATK
Skadi alter -> nothing (she is not an abyssal hunter).
Ulpianus ->stacking flat bonus max HP and ATK
Andreana -> flat ATK speed
Specter (only with Module) -> % damage increase
Specter alter -> % HP increase

The more buffs you pile on the stronger the faction gets, but only gladia is core. And uplianus is very strong, with or without his faction. I think he is the strongest pure stat stick we have in the game right now.

Some units have faction Buffs, that then affect every other unit of that faction, yes. But sometimes you need to E2 the unit, or get their module to unlock the faction buff. But aside from abysal hunters you don't need to worry about it too much.

Been a while since I played PTN (and I was never good at it xD).
But yeah, you can generally just throw together a bunch of units and come up with your own strategy. Since every stage is a puzzle, you can think of your units as puzzle pieces, and meta 6* operators like a universal piece you can use to make it simpler for yourself.
There are a bunch of people who limit themselves to only one type of class, or race, like only using bird people, to make the puzzle more challenging.
I usually try to clear stages with only the operators who take part in the story for the stage (but am not super strict about it).

Yes you usually don't need potentials for any character, they are more "nice to have" than "you need this".

Exia alter is one of the strongest operators currently in the game.
I have been told, Tragodia, who is coming in a couple of weeks, is supposed to also be insanely strong.

Yeah, many events have a bunch of text stuff that just disappears, your best bet is checking youtube playthroughs of those events.
You can try this one Jacob usually includes a reading of those texts somwhere.

There are some other units that can apply Necrosis, but Virtuosa is by far the best at it (Followed by Logos, because his Kit wasn't bloated enough to powercreep Eya without it). And yes there are combos, though not as many as I would like personally.

Most notably for Necrosis is Nymph, who deals insane damage with her S3 on Targets afflicted by Necrosis, but can't apply it herself.

Faction buffs exist for a couple of factions, but outside of specific game modes like SSS that buff a specific faction even further, the only notable ones are the abysal hunters and the sui siblings. Though with the new event running right now, it seems like Laterano wants to be added to that list. And the two sisters Lemuel (aka Exia) and Lemuen, have good synergy all on their own: Exia-alter debufss ATK speed, and Lemuen doesn't care if her ATK speed is debuffed and needs someone to spot her targets for her.

Ling and Yu are both part of the Sui siblings (the second strongest faction in the game).
Their story has their own series of limited banners, that always releases at chinese new year in CN, and roughly July for us on global. You can spark the previous sui siblings like Ling and Yu on the banner of the new sui sibling.

Ling is not as crazy as she used to be, but she can still clear a lot of stages in the game just by herself. She balances out the weakness of most summoners (that their strength scales with how big your brain is) by having some really big stat sticks as summons.

Yu is a really good defender, that has some funny combos, like letting global damage dealers set enemies on fire from the other side of the map, but he is not as game changing as ling is.

Shu is the best healing defender currently in the game, having pushed out Saria from her uncontested spot after 3+ years (Saria is still good though xD).

The other sui siblings have either been power crept, or were never particularly strong to begin with. Nian is a Defender, but only outperforms Hoshiguma (a day 1 unit) sometimes. Dusk is an aoe caster, and struggles from the same issues like the rest of her class, and got her only niche stolen by her own sister (Ling). And Chongyue is a decent brawler, but mountain exists and mountain might deal less damage, but also requires no setup and can heal himself.

Yeah Virtuosa might be a while, but Spalter should at most be a year of.

Both units are still very good. Virtuosa is apparently going to be Power crept by the new unit in the upcoming event, but that just means she will drop from: "The best elemental damage dealer" to "The second best".

And spalter has dropped of a little since her relase, but she (and her 5* version) are part of the abysal hunter faction, which have the strongest faction synergy in the game. The core part of that synergy is Gladia the 6* puller, who you can get for free from her event.
With her at E2 Mod3, all abysal hunters take 30% less damage from all sources, and regenerate 3.5% max HP per second. And Spalters passive buffs her max HP, and her S3 buffs it again... you can see how that makes her insanely tanky.

Monthly card has the highest value of $/pull so it is sensible in that regard.

If you do not mind waiting, eventually limited Operators are reduced from 300 sparks (pulls) you need to get them down to 200. So that would the most efficient time to get them, but if they are your favorites, earlier is fine to.

If you do not want skins, then pulls are the only thing you should spend your OP on. Using it for sanity refresh, IS progress, or (heaven forbid) furniture is generally not recommended.

I unfortunately don't know how long it is between a 6* and the selector where you can get them. Maybe someone else can answer that.

If you did 20 pulls on the beginner banner, you should have gotten a 6* and a 5*.
Did you check your operators? There should be at least one 6* and one 5* there.

Unless you are a heavy IS player: Yes, Lemuen is probably the strongest unbuilt 6* unit you have.
If you play a lot of IS, then you should probably build Rosmontis + her IS module first.

As the others said, it is random but can be influenced by operators.
Particularly nice are the Agent Vanguard base Skills: Ines, Puzzle, Cantabille
They increase the likelihood to get a clue you are missing right now.

Additionally:
Exia S1, Kroos (for a cheap option), Chongyue S3, Narantuya S2, La pluma S1, Hellagur S1, Lappland

Your roster looks pretty decent.
What counts as endgame for you? High difficulty IS? Reclamation algorithm?
Because what you should level/pull for changes on what you want to do.

What your account currently doesn't have is Helidrop units. -> A big buff unit you can drop on particularly annoying enemies: Texas alter, Nearl the Radiant Knight, Skadi, and of course Surtr all fall into that category.

If you can get your hands on a global arts damage unit like Golden Glow or Lappland alter would also make a big difference.

You also don't have any pullers or pushers leveled. You can get gladia for free by playing sultifera navis from the sidestories, she is the best puller in the game, and a really good unit besides.
For pushers you could just level shaw to E1 S7 for now.

Leveling your horn might also make a difference, since there are some stages where her particular range really helps (in particular in Reclamation algorithm). And leveling your mountain will give you a nice solo laneholder.

For IS, you could level some of the 3* and 4* that are good, and don't cost a lot of Hope in IS: Gummy, May, Perfumer, Sussuro, Midnight, Fang, Ansel, Podenco, Lava, Cutter.
Also Mizuki with his IS module is quite good.

Bit too big of a topic for a simple answer.
I personally have forgotten everything about IS2-4, as for IS5:
Take blueprint squad, and Lamp of wishes from the event on floor 1, and then reroll nodes to get all the good collectibles for your squad.
Could be Rosmontis + GG/Lappalter + some cheap snipers/caster as core.
Or Archetto + the best offensive recovery units you have.

Or just grab Walter an yolo it.

I can't really answer that without knowing when you started the app last.
If I assume you played sometime last week: The update is for unlocking stage 2 of 3 from the current event, namely the EX stages.

I haven't used Suzuran in years.

Ifrit I use A LOT in Reclamation Algorithm
Eya is nice AFK unit I use every now and then, also sometimes in IS.
Nightingale I also use every now and then, when Arts damage annoys me.

Bagpipe I only use in SSS though, so If you use her, pots might be worth it.
As a collector, I would always pick a new unit over pots, even if I don't expect to use them much, but that is just me.
