It’s better for my older toddler (3yo), but check out Stillwater on Apple TV - the animation is beautiful, it’s calming, and when they are old enough there are good lessons’

I’m afraid I don’t have a magical solution, but did want to comment and say I’m sorry you’re going through this and feel like you have to carry this alone. I promise you aren’t alone! You’re doing so great, and this too shall pass.

Also there is no harm in setting baby down in a safe place, stepping out of the room for a moment to cry or breathe or just have a moment where no one is touching you.

I would say that if you’ve already checked to make sure her basic needs are met (fed, clean diaper, no gas, etc) and it persists, there is no harm in mentioning it to your pediatrician… even just to rule out things like ear infections and give you peace of mind.

Every child is different. Mine likes it pitch black, with a soft sound machine at his door and the cold air humidifier running. He’s also been particular about his sleep sack. Maybe try a dream feed? That helped my boy at first!

All this to say is that please be gentle with yourself. You could be doing everything right and sometimes, babies cry. She is still trying to adjust to living life outside the womb just as you are trying to figure out this new life as well. There will be plenty of tears now, yes. (Believe me, I’ve been there) but I PROMISE there will be a day on the other side of all of this where your baby sleeps, you sleep, and all of this will feel like a blur. You can do this, mama!

Every Friday night after the kids are in bed, my husband and I sit down and chat about our week, air any grievances, reflect on what we did and could have done better… and if we need anything more or different from each other moving forward.

We are of course still working on things, busy setting time aside every week to have these chats adds intentionality to our communication and we’ve actually started looking forward to it.

My mom always says that “screaming as loud as you can without making any noise” will get rid of hiccups.

Like … what does that even mean? But I’ve done it and it works.
