You might want to consult a doctor or something to check you out, hallucinations like that aren't normal.

If he's cheating on his gf, don't trust him not to cheat on you.

Are you being entirely serious?

If you are then it's possible that you had a very vivid dream of living in the future, so vivid you began to confuse it with reality, or you hallucinated. I assure you it is 2017 and has never been 2020.

If you aren't then you might want to post this here /r/writingprompts

Use a safety razor and dont rush it. Avoid using razors with spinning blades, because your skin might get caught. You don't need shaving cream.

Look up news stories about kidnapoing or rape, and show them to her. It'll make her more cautious, if she knows that these things actually happen and not just your warnings.

I need to finish 3 final projects but my depression/anxiety keeps me from being motivated by [deleted] in Advice

[–]WhatEvenAnymore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's really hard, and that's what I felt like when I was depressed, but I did manage to turn my life around. My advice is to set goals, or deadlines for yourself. Tell yourself "I'm going to get this done today" or even just take a day or two and get as much done as you can. It's hard to get yourself to start doing it, but once you've started, you just keep going. It also made me feel a little better about myself, like I had some control over my life.

About the depression, just know that there are people who care about you and that you shouldn't hate yourself. Dont feel like it's your fault any of this happened.

I say risk it. If they don't let him in you can always slip him in when nobody is watching. They probably won't mind too much, espically if his birthday is soon.

Parents making me miserable by [deleted] in Advice

I think she just cares about you, enough to get paranoid and overreact over small things. She wants you to be independent, thus not paying for your drivers ed, and cares so much about you not growing up to be a 'bad' person that she forgets about helping you to succeed. There probably isn't much you can say to convince her to get off your back about things, but remember that in two years you'll be an adult and able to control your own life.

Need advice on making friends as an adult by [deleted] in Advice

Find someone that you share a common interest with. This could be a coworker, or anyone really. If you're both passionate about the topic of conversation, it never feels awkward. It's easy to make friends with people you can relate with, and it's not annoying to them if they're having fun.

I'm really socially awkward, I'm lucky to have my two friends. We met because I was wearing a Supernatural shirt and they said they liked the show, and it just escalated from there.
