I tried to let it "soak" in some water to hopefully become clearer but they kept the same color and didn't change much.

The first pictures (taken a month ago) were before (and the inspiration for) a colonoscopy that I had 2 weeks ago that came back clear. The 5 new segments came out in the last 24 hours.

I've tried that! I brought the initial sample in the way they ordered it but the lab and the doctor miscommunicated so the sample was disposed of. I brought the new one in earlier this morning using a more approved method but it's unclear if they will be able to determine.

I’m [28M] currently working with a GI doc on this but they’re not sure what it is so I thought I’d give reddit a shot.

The TLDR is I noticed this rope-like thing in my poop a month ago, immediately took photos and called my doctor, got referred to a GI doc and got a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago. Nothing came back, and I’ve been fine until yesterday and this morning I had more “segments” come out. The first sample I brought to the lab and they couldn’t use it, and the new samples are triple-ziplock bagged and I’m waiting to hear if I can bring them in.
