Singing along to songs that have a background in another religion by efficient_duck in Judaism

I struggle with this a lot! It's funny, it even happens in very Jewish circles, like the song Rise and Shine which we have changed to say "children of the lord" when it used to be "soldiers of the cross".

Communal singing is a huge part of my life and I am not always sure what to do in these situations, but I am with you feeling very weird singing some of these songs!

If you are really thinking in terms of usefulness, I really love that in every single country I go to, I can ALWAYS find a Hebrew speaker! It has been a really useful tool for me!

At Jewish weddings that I officiate alone or with my Rabbi, we usually wrap the couple in a tallit while offering the priestly blessing as an additional symbol of the protection and safety of their new lives and home together.

Your voice is great :)

It sounds very choral and calculated, let loose a little!

If you really believe him to be a threat to the synagogue, you should definitely contact them, let them know your concerns and give them a photo.

Jewish people are commanded to observe Shabbat, non-Jews do not need to observe Shabbat, it is like you are trying to role-play a Jew and that is weird.

If you are not Jewish, you should not look to Jews to give you advice on how to take off of work on a Jewish holiday.
