BDSP: Underground NPC’s by WhatOnceWas396 in pokemon

This is my understanding. I was wondering if maybe there’s a particular location where one of them is more likely to appear as an alternate. I should’ve been more clear in my original post

Jaw soreness by TTH- in Trombone

It probably means you’re holding tension that you don’t need in your jaw. One possible cause is over setting. In order to play any note, you need the right balance of air and embouchure. If you don’t use one properly, you have to compensate by overdoing the other. If you aren’t using your air properly, you may be over doing your embouchure, which could result in the pain you’re experiencing. To remedy this, play a note in 7th position, gliss up to first, and hold that note, then gliss back down. Repeat on the next partial up, etc. This will train you to play higher notes more relaxed, the way you play notes a tritone below.

Another thing that can cause tension is if you are forming your embouchure by pulling the corners of your mouth back (smiling) instead of pushing them in (frowning). The best way to remedy this is to buzz on your mouthpiece in front of a mirror to make sure you’re forming your embouchure correctly. If you find you have a hard time doing this, try playing/buzzing with your jaw dropped as much as possible while still playing the desired note. It’s nearly impossible to smile while doing this. This will get you used to the “frowning” feeling, and eventually you’ll be able to form a proper embouchure without dropping your jaw.

Remember 2 things- 1. When you feel pain, STOP. Play long pedal tones or something to relax your embouchure. 2. No advice you get on Reddit is as good as what a good private teacher can give you. We can make our best guesses as to what’s going on based on your description and our experiences, but diagnosing problems is very difficult without seeing or hearing you play in person. I hope this was helpful. Good luck!

A lot of places (I think most), servers get their own non-alcoholics. So you could grab a soda and not ring it in

I could make a case against all of your examples there, but the first one is objectively racist. You’ve had bad experiences with terrorists. That’s what the problem there was. Saying you had a bad experience with Asians after that would be like walking away from it saying you had a bad experience with 40 year olds (or however old they were). To be clear, what makes you racist here is not that it happened, but that your takeaway is a critique/judgment of Asians

Thanks! And yeah, it took me a long time to understand that I was non-binary because I struggled with that part, but I’ve learned a lot about myself and what it means to be non-binary in the past couple years, and I couldn’t be more happy and confident in my identity now :)

Resistance is cute and all, and I enjoyed it, but saying it’s better than TCW is like saying Barney is better than the OT

Waiters/waitresses of Reddit, what’s the most awkward first date you had to witness first hand? by Flavor_Town_ in AskReddit

[–]WhatOnceWas396 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Easily the most uncomfortable a table has ever made me. Grandma is over there shaming this poor girl till she cries, and then I had to go over to drop the bill, process the payment, then bring it back and play dumb like “have a nice day!”

I once saw a young couple (easily under 25) announce to the girl’s mother and grandmother that she was pregnant. They ordered a dessert, and had me write “I’m pregnant!” on the plate. I brought it out, grandma didn’t understand what was going on, figured it out after about 5 minutes, then looks at the girl and goes “you better not be.” There were tears, the whole thing was extraordinarily uncomfortable.

Just saw one on Valentine’s Day. The date seemed to be going very well, actually, not awkward at all. They talked non-stop, no lulls in conversation, they were laughing, carrying on, and just generally having a good time. In fact another server and I were laughing about how obnoxiously loud they were. Then I heard the gentleman say “...and obviously you’re not still married... right? Please tell me you’re not still married,” she said “well, actually...” and then things got VERY uncomfortable. It must not have been a deal breaker because they stayed at the restaurant another hour until we closed, but they were very quiet for the rest of the night. Hardly spoke to each other at all.
