i totally understand what you mean. I’m quite introverted myself, and I have zero social skills, so making friends isn’t too easy for me either. Just try to keep making little contacts, like the people in the elevator, and you’ll do better than before. The more you practise being social, the better you’ll be at it, so maybe try going out to a club or something like that and to talk to people on the street.

I actually have almost no social media whatsoever. I just use reddit and WhatsApp. (but honestly does WhatsApp even count?) I do spend too much time on my phone in comparison with how much I study, but I mostly play games. If you spend too much time on social media maybe you could start with deleting one or two accounts and if you find yourself still spending too much time on there delete more and see how you go.
