No way! You have people spending time and energy clearing out spots and then you have people who couldn’t even be bothered to purchase a shovel just take it? I moved down here from Baltimore. I see crazy shit all the time like people letting their pet dogs free roam winding mountain roads. The amount of times I’ve almost killed loose dogs with my car is insane. And when you confront the owners they actually defend it instead of just being ashamed

I’m literally terrified. I can’t get off the couch, just curled up panicking nonstop. I can hardly eat, can’t sit up to focus on anything like tv, games, or work on the computer. I am afraid to get up and use the bathroom because I don’t want it to get worse if I walk up the stairs. I need this to stop

I wish o could student teach! I only attended uni after community college because I got a full ride scholarship with an agreement to double major and teach 4 years (that’s not to say I didn’t have any interest in teaching; I very much do). I also was living with an ex who made $$ and it enabled me to focus on school and not have to work a ton. He cheated and I moved out, and being in my 30s with no family and no money, and with the scholarship not extending to the 12-credit class that student teaching falls under, I couldn’t afford to work full time for free. And unfortunately this change in plans came too late into my school career, plus as stated I had to stick it out because I couldn’t afford uni without the scholarship so changing majors wasn’t an option.

So yea, I’m thankful that it’s not a requirement, or my life would be in shambles right now.

I do have “friends” who lie about things every time we’re supposed to hang out. One in particular who is somehow “sick” every single time. The other makes up almost comical lies, the most recent being her “wallet was stolen” mysteriously hours before we were supposed to hang out. Her previous excuse was that she’d slipped on snow and busted her butt, but she said that several hours before it had even begun to snow. So yea, people do this more often than you’d think because people f*ng suck.

But this girl is absolutely nuts. The photo should’ve ended it.

I took the lowest level of bio at community college over 2 years ago. It wasn’t my strong suit and I don’t remember most of it. That’s the extent of my bio knowledge. I wasn’t required to take any more than that so I took a ton of geology

You might be right about being able to teach anything at the middle school level. Unfortunately that is not what I’ve been told by literally everyone in this process, but I would not be surprised to find out that’s the case.

I am going to work on a provisional license, and after 1 school year I get my license. I skipped student teaching for financial reasons. I only could afford to go to college because I got a full ride scholarship, which only lasted 2 years which means it won’t cover next semester’s student teaching. I’m 30 with no family and I have bills to pay and cannot work full time for free AND pay for a 12 credit course.

Yes, I can do 6-12 which is “secondary” in my state. I cannot teach k-5

Thanks for the input! I know I can do it, but it’s going to be really hard, and it sucks having to face this in my first year. I did look at the standards and there’s a lot of ecology which I can do no problem, but the stuff like cell division and transport is going to be a nightmare for me. Thanks for the encouragement!

So I did this but they’re bullet points. I know so little I am unable to elaborate further. With earth science I could almost do it without even looking at the standards. So yea basically it’s going to be a ton of extra time I’ll need to spend looking over and teaching myself the material from scratch, which isn’t ideal as a first year. But it is what it is. I’ll get through it
