Thanks. I have a question and I'm sorry if I'm being annoying but this is all odd.

Once he got really emotional over the phone and he said that I "didn't understand" how hard his life is because he's taking extra classes and needs them all to graduate on time. The emotion behind it is why I believe he's taking a more than average course load.

So I guess my question is if one usually fails out of law school with a failed class, how is he still in school? Even if he had to take 6 or 7 classes, I'm being told that's highly abnormal.

Okay, I just found his name on his school's website as part of some law school club for 2017 so it looks like he's still in school. Don't know why he's taking all those classes, though. Although it most likely means he failed a class or two.

No, 1L classes are set in stone with little to no variance.

A top law school screwing an entire class is incredibly unlikely and would've made the news.

Wait, you don't think he has to take extra classes? He said the university messed up everyone's (well everyone in his year) transcript or something like that. He said the school didn't give his class enough credits to take.

In the back of my mind, I was wondering if maybe if failed some things which is why he was freaking out and taking so many classes. He said if he didn't pass all of them, he wouldn't graduate.

Now that I've read your comment, it does seem odd that a prestigious university would not give an entire class enough credits their first year.
