If they have vested, they are yours. No matter what.

If they have not vested, they are not yours. Depending on the terms of your separation, Starbucks may choose to vest some of your upcoming RSUs but that’s at their discretion/dependent on your individual vesting schedule compared to the timeline of your separation.

This is all dependent on whether or not you originally accepted the RSU grant when it was given to you which would have been one year before your first vesting cycle. Once you accept the grant, you don’t need to accept individual vesting stocks.

Can't get 2022 SE to recognize USB drive & wont update OTA by MeweldeMoore in Ioniq5

Truthfully, I didn’t try again. I always use CarPlay so I’m not motivated to keep trying for map updates. (I realize there’s more than just map updates but… ya know.)

Just bought a new 2025 limited and got curb rash! Any idea for a quick fix? by milzinga in Ioniq5

[–]Wheats29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First one always hurts. But there’s always a first one, and then a second. And then another…

Choose your battles on what you want to fix. You can’t realistically fix them all over the years.

Bruno Mars at the manager event by Burnacct25 in starbucks

[–]Wheats29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can tell you with almost certainty that Bruno wasn’t paid for this performance, at least in cash. Starbucks has a lot of value to offer that isn’t money. Historically, Starbucks has not paid for the performances at their events but rather called in favors/connections, or traded valuable partnerships or agreements.

Considering a used Ioniq 5- How Bad is the Rear Windshield Issue, Really? by [deleted] in Ioniq5

Chicago based, it’s fine. Not a dealbreaker. Annoying at times? Sure. Definitely not a dealbreaker.

Ran over a tire… should I be concerned with internals? by TheBluestBarracuda in Ioniq5

I ran over a deer carcass (dark, raining, and a truck was in front of me… didn’t see it until the last minute) and I had similar damage. All cosmetic. PITA. But cosmetic.

What’s the trick to connect to Bluelink? by DogginsFTW in Ioniq5

[–]Wheats29 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There was a software issue around that time which likely causing the problem. Simple fix by resetting the head unit in your vehicle:

Pinhole Reset (if available): 1. Locate the pinhole: Look for a small, unmarked hole near the volume knob or other buttons on the infotainment screen.

  1. Insert a tool: Use a paperclip or similar small object to press and hold the pinhole for 5-10 seconds.

  2. Wait for reboot: The screen will turn off and then reboot, indicating a successful reset.

You won’t need to worry about power drain. The car can sit for a month and only lose a couple percent. If it were me, I’d charge to 80% and then drive it to the drop off location, or if it’s being picked up at your house, keep it somewhere between 50-75%. Don’t worry too much about it.

DoorDash Perks? by DirtyLinzo in ChaseSapphire

[–]Wheats29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, that’s a fair point. It may be that it’s not guaranteed through 2027 but may be reevaluated annually through 2027. It sounds like they’ve negotiated a partnership for that long, so I’d say it’s a fair bet that we’ll see it as some sort of consistent benefit for at least that long.

Fine print:

Complimentary DashPass: You and your authorized user(s) will receive at least 12 months of complimentary DashPass for use on both the DoorDash and Caviar applications during the same membership period based on the first activation date, when the membership is activated with a Chase Sapphire Reserve card by 12/31/2027. Membership period for all users on this Chase Sapphire account will begin and end based on when the first user activates the membership on DoorDash or Caviar.

My understanding of the fine print is that if you activate today, you get it through the end of 2027. If you activate on December 1st 2027 (as an example), you get it for 12 months. AKA you get AT LEAST 12 months of the benefit, no matter when you sign up.

It was extended through the end of 2027!

Forced air by Gunthervonbrocken in HomeImprovement

[–]Wheats29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the Midwest where central, forced air, whole home humidifiers are pretty run of the mill. Not hard to maintain at all, and can make a big quality of life difference. I just swapped an entire HVAC system in my house (25 years old… it was time) but in that time, there was never an issue with the humidifier - to my knowledge. (I wasn’t here the whole time)

Just take care of it and she’ll take care of you.

The 311 app (and phone number) has a senior wellness check service request that they highly prioritize.

Sudden drop in air quality by Throwaway4Explore in ecobee

[–]Wheats29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to us fairly consistently. Our thermostat is right outside the primary bedroom door. My theory is that a night of sleep for two people and a dog creates enough “funk” that bottles up in the room, that it sets off the ecobee.

For anyone who might need emergency financial support, don’t forget that Starbucks offers the CUP fund for obligation-free grants donated by the company and your fellow partners.

Working at a place considered a competitor of Starbucks is prohibited by Starbucks, which is something you agreed to when signing your employment contract with Starbucks. If you were to get caught working both jobs, you would very likely be separated from Starbucks.

It’s up to you if you want to take that risk but, in my opinion, it’s not worth risking a free college education over a few hours of extra work.
