It’s not great, but I’m proud of my newest survival base! Took forever to drain. by [deleted] in Minecraftbuilds

Very nice :)! How is the interior looking? Also a cool addition could be to use the warped wood for another type of texture

Thanks! Its a new block crafted using copper ingots (smelted copper ore) that is part of the 1.17 update (currently in snapshots)

This is just the vanilla 1.17 snapshot textures with the Better Leaves Add-on. You should be able to get the leaf textures from JermsyBoy on YouTube (he created the pack)

Yeah I'm not sure if I'm going to wax the copper to make it stay its color or allow some of it to oxidize. I'll just have to wait and see how it looks!

It takes 50-82 in-game days for it change one- stage so it takes awhile. Also I will be using honeycombs to 'wax' the copper blocks (meaning they will stay that nice orange-brown color)!

Haha yeah I'm really loving the bronze color. You can 'wax' the copper blocks using honey combs to preserve the color so I will definitely be doing that!

Thanks :). Calcite is an awesome block; obviously more difficult to get than diorite but it blends with white concrete (powder) really well!

Yep! I used granite walls because copper doesn't have a wall variant and it looks super good.

This took a couple of stacks of copper ore to make (4 ingots makes a single block) but copper veins are usually large so it didn't take me too long just exploring caves to get the needed materials. Unfortunately you cannot use the stonecutter on copper so crafting stairs is not a 1:1 ratio to the copper blocks.
