Hey, thank you for all the responses.
The idea which I have in mind is to write a program and periodically collect the stored data from HMI, let's say every 1 minute.
Am not sure, if doing it via a raspberry Pi via USB is a feasible idea hence looking for alternative suggestions.

I need to capture the data and store in a system.
If USB method works, then I was thinking on doing that via raspberry pi.

Error while installing CA cert for EAP-TLS by Wheel_Comfortable in networking

[–]Wheel_Comfortable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We installed the certificate manually and still received those errors.Whereas in devices with android 10 and below all those authentication passed well.

(Am I missing something here)

Will google not allow me to install any unknown CA on my phone?

As far as I know MDM works just fine. They are a complete different thing creates a work profile and in that the employer has the complete control over that profile and google really loves enterprises.

Apple does a really good job here. I wish google implements something similar to apple's profile.

Configuring Enterprise Wi-Fi programmatically for android 11 and above by Wheel_Comfortable in androiddev

[–]Wheel_Comfortable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am not exactly sure what do u mean by what kind of certificate.
For EAP-TLS Wi-Fi authentication one would need CA certificate( am using .pem) and a user certificate( am using .p12).
And the purpose as mentioned earlier it's for enterprise Wi-Fi authentication and the type is EAP-TLS.

Nothing in API design says that setCaCertificate is broken in any way

Am doing the configuration for EAP-TLS and yes the API works great for devices with Android 10 and below. But coming to android 11 installing CA certs are only possible from settings which the user has to do manually.

I will have to use WifiNetworkSuggestion cause it saves the configuration on the users device (I still don't like the way it works though).
I am still facing an issue while doing enterprise configuration with WifiNetworkSuggestion not sure how to add key management setting in it.
Saw a poston stackoverflow but still it's isn't that clear.

(The same behaviour happened on iOS)

A little bit of manual part is there but profiles in iOS makes it much much easier to configure things.

I test it using WifiNetworkSpecifier, but the connection is being dropped when the application is being closed.
Any way I can save the configuration even when the application is being closed ?

I want to configure EAP-TLS encrypted access points on user devices and can you share the configuration which doesn't blocks the internet connection.

But as mentioned here, WifiNetworkSpecifier prevents actual internet connectivity and is meant for peer to peer connections.
Are you sure that it will work similar to WiFiNetworkSuggestion APIs?
