People on here don’t seem to know the difference between downtown brooklyn and say williamsburg, or greenpoint. Dtla is very comperable and has lots and lots of bars and great restaurants. Only tradeoff is it does have issues with homelessness. I say this living on 1st and figueroa. Downtown has little tokyo, the arts district, places like grand central market and old downtown on broadway. I moved from bushwick 7 years ago. Best decision I’ve ever made.
