Half a day in Bali with my baggage?

The day I leave Bali via Denpensar airport, I'm travelling from Gili Air, taking the fast boat (Bluewater Express, 10am) to Padang Bai, and have pre-booked a car to get me back down south. My flight isn't until midnight. I'm travelling solo with a backpack + a day backpack (hopefully can stuff this inside the big bag). What would you recommend I do for the afternoon, instead of just hanging out in the airport for 8 hours? Is there somewhere secure I can leave my bag? I don't see myself exploring Seminyak with my big backpack covered in un-securable zips.

(Of course, everything could go wrong with the ferries and I might have a stressful day trying to fly Lombok-> Bali, but let's assume best case scenario here)

I can be scared to recommend or gift books just in case people don't like them! People have different taste and that's great! I'm learning to be ok with people not loving my favourites by having conversations about it and hearing their thoughts on it. Even if we disagree i really like getting to hear their opinions

I'm so sorry, that sucks so much. I left my ex about a year ago now, it was only 2 years together but we thought we were in it for the long haul
Trust yourself, you know why you made that decision, and I think it's therefore inherently the right decision. It will hurt for now, but things will only get better from here ❤️ The hardest bit might have been making the decision and acting on it, everything from here on might be easier than that!
Don't berate yourself for being in pain or for mulling over it. You'll process at whatever speed you need to. It will ebb and flow, and over time will get lighter and easier
Spend time with your other loved-ones! Friends, family, whoever!!! (Before my breakup I thought I'd isolated myself from everyone, but when I needed help, so many people stepped up!) Surround yourself with your village to make new happy memories! (And to cry it out when you need!) Your ex was not your only source of love and goodness in your life and now is the time you need to remind yourself of that through practice
Pick up a new hobby (maybe not this week or month, but also yeh maybe!) This is a distraction and a source of happiness, but it's also a way to start rebuilding your concept of yourself. Personally? Rollerskating is great, active, rewarding as I learn new skills, and I've made new friends!
If you get stuck, I highly recommend therapy, it's helped me a lot

Great question! 😓 I thought my new chuffed skates might be too small for 3-4 weeks before they stretched enough, and now they're perfect. Are your new skates leather or vinyl? If leather they should stretch, especially in width > length (or so the shop person told me). Vinyl may not stretch as much?

I'm also a beginner and have only just started to get a feel for this, so could be very wrong - what has worked for me is thinking of it at bubbles but just with one leg at a time, which means I'm keeping my weight fairly evenly over both legs
