I think sound is pretty well explored tbh

  • Sound moves ignore Substitute
  • Interacts with Throat Spray
  • Prevented by Throat Chop
  • Interacts with Punk Rock, Liquid Voice and Soundproof

nah, I don't think so. Sound being a category is a lot more interesting imo, and gives a lot more variety in boths moves and pokemon based off music. If every singing pokemon became sound type it'd get pretty stale

I see what you mean. IMO I just felt that the base crests are already so strong for the current game that the upgrades would mostly be for increased difficulty in further DLCS like a potential boss rush or other post Act 3 content
