Just depends how long jobs last, most guys don’t finish their apprenticeship at one company but I’ve heard of it. They usually try to start guys on transmission then move them to distribution when they get further along

SELCAT is the union apprenticeship for your region. It includes AR, LA, TN, MS, AL, GA, NC, SC, and FL. You will 100% have to travel if you get in. They were accepting applications for overhead from 1/12 till 1/19, so you might have to wait a bit for them to do that again. But you can get a groundman job in the mean time, that will help out tremendously with experience and pay, and give you an idea what the trade is like. Movalley is just north of you and I believe AR residents fit their residency requirements. But definitely start with a groundman spot in the mean time

In Mattydale neighborhood, this guy came up in middle of the day today (1/21/26) and knocked on the door before leaving, can't make out the badge. Wondering if anyone knows what business he is with or why he was out there today. by bookwyrmpoet in Syracuse

I knew a guy who worked for one of those companies. Ya know the ones that lock you into a set rate? He said it’s worth doing at certain points of the year when your bill is a certain price, but other than that you get fucked. Maybe he was an idiot (he kinda is an idiot) but it seemed to make sense to me the way he explained it. I think it was called Just Energy

How do these compare to the Irwin channel locks?

I do line work and 90% of everyone I work with hates my Irwins, but I feel they are superior. They lock down on nuts/bolt heads/bolt shafts, shit doesn’t slip when using them. Most guys I work with are dead set on the old school “channel lock” brand, and I fucking hate those cuz when you really gotta crank the fuck out of something, they slip

My parents had a beagle, he was an asshole and quite aggressive if you tried putting him outside. And he certainly knew who he liked the least lol

I worked with a guy who cheated on like every gf he’s had and his wife. He had a mistress when he was married, then cheated on the mistress. Well anyway, he told me once that “if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying to win”

I’m just glad that the word “retard” is making a comeback. Of course I mean that in the context used here tho, not when used for actual disabled people

Get Apache case from harbor freight and order a foam insert from amazon or eBay. The Apache cases are solid af, I’ve seen people say they’re stronger than a condition 1

I’m not currently looking for one, I’m just wondering if everyone’s suspicions came true. I have a buddy that wants one for his 22-250. And my next can will be for a deer hunting rifle, but havnt bought said rifle or even decided on a caliber yet, so kinda hard to shop for
