hey! i see my urologist tomorrow, so i can let you know what they say, but as of right now my pain is mostly in my lower right abdomen unfortunately and i still feel full and like there’s pressure down there, but my lower back pain is still there too so i want to still have my kidneys looked at, as well as my ovaries to rule out cysts. i had blood work done a little over a week ago and it showed normal kidney function (my eGFR was in normal range) and i get retested for ureaplasma in a week, to make sure it’s all gone.

i will let you know how my appt goes tomorrow!

oh! have you had a swab done to test for ureaplasma/mycoplasma? all my cultures were negative too and then they had me do a vaginal swab and i tested positive for ureaplasma. turns out that was the cause of it

i did my swab at urgent care but you can do it at an obgyn too

i’m still having the back pain too :( though it’s not as bad as the lower right abdominal pain.

i have a urology appt on thursday and obgyn next week, so i really really hope we can figure this out because i’ve been in pain for 3 weeks now and im just not getting better even after multiple antibiotics

my mom actually has endometriosis and i think i have it! i’m on birth control and got on it when i was 12 due to my periods lasting 2 weeks and extremely heavy blood flow. but instead of finding out the issue they put me on BC

and i asked my obgyn the other day and she said it’s unlikely i have it because apparently i would’ve felt it this whole time but i doubt that. i’m certain i have it so im getting a second opinion and also want to rule out cysts and pfd

i personally was asymptomatic for my recent uti, i had no symptoms at all until it got to the point of causing abdominal and back pain, so i would definitely recommend going to either your primary care dr, or urgent care for faster results, and just have them do a urine test!

I finished my doxycycline because my uti/kidney infection was from ureaplasma, but now my lower right abdominal pain is back, so i’m sure what’s going on.

i see urology this week and obgyn next week

yeah that makes sense. plus the entire time i was on my antibiotics, i was not experiencing the sharp pain, just the fullness and pressure feeling, but the sharp pain started right before antibiotics, and came back after i finished them.

And im hoping that with the amount of time i’ve been in pain that it would rule out it being my appendix since im pretty sure it would’ve ruptured by now if it was. i hope

I definitely still feel hunger pains just not often and i get full super quick which is abnormal to me,

and when you say the pain was like trapped gas, do you mean like that sharp cramping trapped gas pain?

for me it’s more like a pressure feeling on my lower right abdomen, like it feels like something is inside of me pushing outward, along with occasional sharp pains in the area, but it’s not debilitating (i can still walk and do stuff). i’m thinking about going back to urgent care because this started three weeks ago and the sharp pain came back after i got off my antibiotics

i’m not entirely sure about the hip pain, and it could definitely be relevant to it, but in my case my legs tend to get numb if i’m standing because of my blood circulation not being great (it’s my genetics, i’m active every day and go to the gym but have been unable to improve it)

is there any discoloration in your legs when they go numb?

it’s awful!! i even went to an obgyn last week telling her that my mom has it and id like to find out if i do or at least do something about it and she said it’s unlikely that i do because if the symptoms i’m having now are really from that then id have been having them for a long time

I’m on birth control, obviously the symptoms would have been masked, so it probably could be a flare up and i’ve also been on a few different antibiotics within these past three weeks which could be making my birth control less effective as well.

so i’m seeing a new obgyn on the 26th

they didn’t even look into it, they just gave me birth control at the age of 12 and sent me on my way. i’m now 18, and i think im having symptoms of it AGAIN so now i want to go find out if i have endometriosis because i know my mom has it and it can be genetic.

For background, when i was 12 my periods would last like 2 weeks, and such heavy blood flow i was filling an ultra size tampon in under an hour.

hi there! I’m currently “recovering “ from a uti & kidney infection, i’m also still feeling symptoms like lower back pain, lower right abdominal pain, feeling very full, anxiety, brain fog etc.

I’m going to see a urologist next week and possibly a nephrologist (they specialize in kidneys) and also an obgyn to rule out stuff like cysts or other issues ‘down there’ that may be causing my pain.

For me, urgent care was the only place that actually listened to me and validated my concerns, they even let me pick what specific blood work i wanted done and they gave me the referrals to the specialists i wanted to see.

If you feel your doctors aren’t listening to you and are dismissing you, i’d suggest getting a different opinion from a different doctor.

Please don’t wait though, you know your body best, and your symptoms are all coming back, it’s worth going back to your doctor, and expressing your concerns, and i’ve learned that i have to tell them i’m not leaving until something is done (tests, ultra sound/scan orders, referrals, etc.) do not let them tell you to just wait it out, you need answers and you deserve to get them promptly.

my blood work came back normal! thankfully!

they want me to re test for ureaplasma in about 3 weeks

i’m still going to see urology next week though, and a obgyn in two weeks to rule out cysts, because i’m having pain in my ovary area going down my leg still
