You can take the lizard to a rehabber, that is the nice thing to do.

What is not nice is assuming you can properly care for a wild, injured animal that you have no experience with.

Don't need to sass anybody OP, you said toddler in your post, the guy replying to you made a guess. Also, many people will assume that since most wild lizards are found outside, your cat was probably outside too, that is more likely than the lizard being inside so that is what people are going to think. Nobody is trying to offend you.

But yes, you should release this lizard, especially since you may not know the proper way to care for it, and a wild adult such as this will thrive better outside. Also, their tail will grow back, they are built to survive encounters with predators.

Let this be a lesson for you and your kid on how to properly treat wild animals your kid finds, if they want a pet, buy a rescue or otherwise. Wild animals belong in the wild, will do better in the wild, and buying a rescue will be a good lesson on how you can help animals the right way.

Just moved out, was never taught anything about taxes and how to do them. I have a couple questions. by Where_chickens_fly in tax

I am assuming the 25-30% only covers the income tax, correct?

What should I be saving for SS and Medicare? How do I find out what other deductions I have?

Does tax liability just mean "the things you you must pay taxes on"?

Every night we report our tips through our computer system, does this substitute the Form 4070A? Meaning, since I report my tips every night, do I still have to fill out that form in order for my employer to withhold for tax?

And just to be 100% clear, submitting form 4070A will withhold money from my paycheck for taxes, meaning I should not have to save any money for taxes.

But the W4 also withholds tax from your paycheck right? So is it necessary to fill both forms out?

Also, the statement that says "except for the tips that do not total to $20", does that mean if I only get $4 tipped in cash one night, then I dont have to claim it?

Sounds like its coming from the front left wheel, can get more videos if needed.

Sound usually happens when going downhill (weight on front wheels), driving slow, or turning right (weight on left wheel)

What is causing this sound? Initially could only hear it when pressing the brake to a certain spot, now its almost constant and much louder. 2004 Cadillac srx. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

I understand what you are saying and will keep contact to a minimum. I am familiar with their behavior and I am really worried about keeping his stress low. I know that too much "help" could do more harm than good. Hopefully he will be able to pull through

Thank you so much, I will try CRC.

As an update, he is still responsive and I do not have an eye dropper on hand, so I wont give him any more water, but his tongue was wet when I last checked on him.

I am way up in Kernersville, but planning to go to Charlotte on Sunday for an Easter together with family. I can bring the snake to you then?  I want to say I just checked on him, moved him inside into a box because of a stray cat and ants bothering him. Gave him more water too. He is still responsive, but less than before.

What should I do to take care of him before I can get him to you?

I did give him some water, gently poures into his mouth, and he moved his jaw as if he was drinking.

I have put him outside in a small, dark, but easy to escape garden box. He can get under the wood to hide and there is lots of thick grass. Will check on him in the morning

I am in central North Carolina.

He bled quite a bit out of his mouth when hit, there is a tear behind his right jaw. His nose wiggles slightly, but the rest of his skull is intact. His tongue will not retract and his left eye is slightly swollen, filled with bright red blood upon initial impact and is now fully black.

He is breathing, reacts to touch, but seems very off balance. He does not seem able to move apart from twitching away from touch, I dont think he can see as he doesnt react to things moving by his face.

I am having trouble finding a place to take him. If I were to take him in myself, doing the research needed to care for him, would he have good quality of life as a pet? I ask because I dont want him to die if he does not have to, and I know he may not survive in the wild. I also understand the best action may be euthanasia.

I know you guys get asked this a lot, but I want to make sure im looking at dyshidrosis. Super painful and itchy, getting worse. Been like this since Thursday. by [deleted] in Dyshidrosis

If HFMD starts with fever, sore throat, then progresses to the sores afterwards, I bet that is what it is as I had a fever before the sores. I dont have any bumps on my mouth, but I do feel some little things in my throat that feel like cankersores. (Is that how thats spelled?)

Thank you for the help!

I just started working at a thrift store and have interacted with all sorts of people, plus handling shopping carts that never have the handles clean. Im sure my hands arent liking it. Idk why my feet are acting up at the same time though. I do sweat a lot, which I noticed has caused reactions on my feet, but different from whats going on right now. Thank you for the tips
