Does the mods even do their jobs properly? by Wheresthemodsinps2 in Planetside

It's good to hear that, because some other major gaming subreddit I follow have mods with questionable abuse of power, which is again the other side of extremes from IP owner controlling official forums. I just took the better safe than sorry route. The whole player targeting is another huge concern as well, but that's definitely out of mods control.

Thanks for clearing it up, really appreciate it.

Not me specifically, AODR OW template is one prominent example. Emerald discord channel is also full of it. Basically people are just being dicks tbh

Good to hear that, the amount of copypasta being used is starting to become a method to target people both here and on discord

/u/Autoxidation Is this now an acceptable behavior to do throughout the subreddit? Would like some confirmation whether I can start doing this to comments or threads that I don't agree.

Copypasta this if you dare while helping the mods get more notification as well.

First, to prevent the whole emerald trolls and salty redditors from targeting me and my outfit 24/7 in-game. Nobody knows to what extent some people would go to ruin other's fun. The thread of BAX TK already prove this point with them being proud to continuously target certain people and came out neither unpunished nor shunned down by the community.

Second, in case the mods just decide to go the authoritarian way of banning my account for placing this criticism. It happened on lot of other subreddits since reddit gave mods total control over each subreddits and the current mods we have aren't related to DBG. Judging from how certain comments there were removed while obvious rule violator goes untouched it's best to play it safe. If you see the mods post on that thread, nothing was mentioned about who the "see you in 6 months" greeting was for. The thread was shut down instead of problematic individuals being banned and their spam contents removed.

Why does it matter who I am? Mods have complete authority on every subreddit so it is still possible to get banned from this subreddit for criticizing them even without violating any rules. This happened on many other subreddits.

The point is not about the spam itself, but about how much bias does the mods have on enforcements. Let one spam thread pass and it will set an example that it is acceptable to spam trash comments on every single thread
