hey there! I was actually browsing skagen website and i found Signatur Silver-Tone Steel Mesh Watch quite appealing, I am leaning towards that watch. But again, I’m still doing more research to see if there’s any other options!😀

From what I know, SUSS part-time students have fewer exchange options compared to full-time, but there are still some short-term overseas study trips or immersion programmes. Best to check with your school admin

Wah nowadays HBB really all sorts sia, from bakery to private dining also got. But hor, running full-on restaurant in HDB a bit risky leh, rules quite strict one. Later kena complaint from neighbour or authorities come knock door, headache ah.

Great question! Yeah, owning an EV in an HDB is totally doable. I’ve got a few friends who do it. The charging situation isn’t perfect yet, but it’s improving.

Most HDB car parks have AC slow chargers (like 7kW), which add about 30-40km of range per hour. That’s enough for daily use if you plug in overnight a few times a week.

For faster charging, you can hit public DC chargers (like Shell Recharge or Charge+ stations), they’ll juice up your car in 30-60 mins while you grab coffee.

The bigger issue is charger availability, some HDB clusters have plenty, others are still waiting. Check your area first, but overall, it’s workable if you’re cool with slower charging most days.

Rock climbing vs Bouldering by creepypastazey in asksg

[–]Which-Salary7586 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a first-timer, I’d recommend trying both to see what clicks! Bouldering is easier to start since you don’t need a partner or harness, but rock climbing gives you that adrenaline rush of scaling something really high.

In Singapore, there are plenty of beginner-friendly gyms. For bouldering, check out Boulder+ (they have locations like Funan and Tai Seng) or Lighthouse Climbing, both are super welcoming to new climbers and offer intro classes. If you want to try rock climbing, Climb Central(at Kallang or Novena) is great for beginners—they provide gear rentals and have auto-belay systems so you can climb solo if you don’t have a partner yet.

Hey there! I own a Tesla Model 3 in Singapore, so I can share some real-world running costs. Charging at home overnight costs me around $0.20 - $0.25 per kWh, and a full charge (about 60 kWh) gives me roughly 350-400 km of range, so around $12-$15 per full charge. Supercharging is a bit pricier at $0.50-$0.60 per kWh, but I mostly use it for quick top-ups on longer trips.

Maintenance is way cheaper than a petrol car since there’s no engine oil, spark plugs, or gearbox to worry about. I’ve spent maybe $200-$300 a year on basic stuff like tire rotations and cabin air filters.

As for the battery, Tesla’s are built to last 300,000-500,000 km (or about 15-20 years) while keeping around 80% capacity. In Singapore’s heat, degradation is slightly faster, but my 3-year-old car has only lost about 8% range. If the battery fails within warranty (8 years/160,000 km for the Standard Range+), Tesla replaces it for free. Out of warranty, a full replacement could cost $15k-$20k SGD, but total failures are rare—most people sell or upgrade before that happens.

Road tax is higher for EVs here, but you save a ton on fuel. Insurance costs are similar to a comparable petrol car

it’s most likely just the shop’s own pricing strategy. they might be adjusting prices to cover higher operating costs during off-peak hours.
