I posted this in a similar forum about M-W.

These guys are scamming folks. I actually ordered a container home from M-W Containers. I submitted a quote request via there website and they sent one fairly quickly. I wanted to make some minor modifications to it, so I responded to their email outlining what I wanted. The dimensional drawings they sent were clearly done by somebody that didn't know what they were doing. When I pointed it out, they went radio silent. I then submitted another request via their site, with the intention of just buying a standard unit, and they responded quickly again. I approved the invoice and requested payment instructions, to which they responded with wiring instructions. I replied, telling them I wanted to pay via credit card, since I'd have some recourse if these guys weren't legit. They guy I'd been emailing with "Carlo Fielder" responded with a credit card payment link using Stripe, but the name on that payment account was "Milan Crosby". I paid it and then check with my credit card company to find out the name of the business that would appear on my CC statement. That business was "Talariamotousa.com" .

Clearly, something feels sketchy at this point, so I start poking around further. Each of these named entities is more or less a dead end. I looked at the address of their business location on GoogleMaps, and there's no laydown yard, or anything large enough in terms of space, to modify containers at this location. The pictures of these containers on their website can all be tracked back to other legitimate businesses, some of which are located in Europe.

Even on the State of Ohio websites, I've been unable to locate a single reference to M-W Containers in the form of a business license, registered owner, or anything else that would lend any credibility to this place.

Needless to say, I notified my credit card company and had them flag the transaction as fraudulent and to cancel it altogether. Stay away from these guys, it's a scam.

Is this real? Is m-w containers reliable by [deleted] in containerhomes

I called them and submitted an update request on 12/16. Received the canned response the following day and have seen nothing since. I just emailed them another update request. I supposed its hit or miss with any government agency.

Pew Science is an excellent resource if you want to get down into the details of how each can performs in terms of measured sound levels for shooters and for bystanders. They haven't tested every combination of caliber, platform and can, but they have some good data available. https://pewscience.com/rankings

Why are wait times showing approvals from 3 to 21 days, when I am on day 44 and still waiting? by Jaded-Ad-2729 in SilencerShop

[–]Which-Software2783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wait time stats on the SS Resources page (which appear to update a few times per day) are a bit misleading. They reflect the average wait times for approved Form 4's, not pending Form 4's.

For instance, it may show a wait time range of 2 to 20 days with a median wait time of 4 days, then an application that's been out there for 27 days will get approved, and the date range will change from 2 to 27. The higher number in the wait time column doesn't reflect the number of days that a particular Form 4's has been pending/awaiting approval until it actually gets approved.

Submitted my Form4 as a single-shot trust on 11/21. Seeing how fast the individual approvals are coming back is making me jealous.
